I've read in some fashion magazines and such that the combo ankle boots + skirts doesn't work. But I've also seen it done in a very cool way, very rock-chic. I'm thinking Shirley Manson, Liberty Ross...
What do you think about this? Does it work?
I really don't have any pics... Please post some pictures so I can get some inspiration...Thank you!

well, first one must have nice legs to do that look. the rest is debatable.

it's a GREAT look...but it def depends on the person...
and on the boots and skirt...

imo....:flower:

Yes, nice legs in the first place... And I was referring to black pointed toe ankle boots. I don't know if it would work with round toe ankle boots.

I found this pictures, I liked the look... I don't know if Sienna Miller ones can be considered ankle boots though.

i have to say . . . never been fond of this look
i can make an exception for these slouchy MJ boots . . .

i personally adore the combination! obviously on someone with very nice legs, preferably on the short side: i think if you're too tall the whole ballerina effect gets lost.

i like it with both pointy and round-toe ankle boots, i guess it depends on the skirt you want to put it with: i'd go for round-toes if the skirt is short and bulging (i hope you're getting what i mean...), for ponty ones if the skirt is straight (or in denim).

:woot: Who's that babe?? :brows:

Lovely look, Soft! I'll be looking for credits :innocent: Nice layering too...

sort of mod . . .
really?...mod?......
i was going for neo goth...
but that is sort of what i figured...
the way i see neo goth is just different to what other people think about it...
but the pink boots with the bow is what it's all about for me...

thanks for the lovely compliments ...
glad you all approve...

:flower:

it could be both . . .
it was more the shape & print on the skirt
tht made me think 'mod' !
but who cares !
aslong as it looks gd !

Ok :P I think you're talking about these pics from shopaholics. I thought about posting them earlier, but wasn't sure if the boot qualified as an ankle boot. Anyhow, I love the look and have also done this boot with a geometric pencil skirt and it looked tres sex-ay!! (if I do say so myself )

softgrey looking great in that outfit. I adore that skirt and bid for it on sale on ebay today....I lost it. The boots look good. what would opaque tights be like?
