Anthropologie

^^ To live there would be fabulous. :) I would especially like to hole up in the home section..

i love the aesthetics of this store so much but every time i go and want to buy something everything's either way too big or way overpriced. i did get some really good smelling soap the other day though haha..i want to redo my apartment in anthro stuff but i can't bring myself to pay that much D:

seconded. some of their clothes are HUUUGE.

I agree that their clothes are quite overpriced. I don't think I have ever seen anything there for $60 though that doesn't sound too unreasonable to me for silk chiffon.

I wish those lounge pants were still available online. They look like they might be the most comfy pants ever made.

1. yeah everything seems overprized
2. they are super-comfy but
3. as people mentioned their sizing is a bit weird - eventhough the pants fit me somehow they have a cut that make look them bigger than they are - not sure how to describe it but i hope you get what i mean ...

I'm so obsessed with this store, it's not even funny. I know that the prices can seem intimidating, but often times you are getting something that is A) flattering, B) has a unique print C) of high quality. You will not find pieces this soft that will remain this soft after years of wearing and washing at a much lower price point.

I'd have to say that I do 80-90% of my shopping here, and am rarely, if ever disappointed.

Although I pretty much look like I'm a walking, breathing Anthropologie catalog at nearly all times :x

Just a heads up - these ebay sellers have some great Anthropologie pieces for significantly discounted prices. You girls might want to check it out:

eBay is always my go-to... thanks for the links. :flower:

I went crazy in Anthropologie today..got new bed sheets, plates, a tea cake stand, a book, some candles..eeek. Everything is so lovely in there though, it was my first stop in my shopping trip and I have to say the music in there, the atmosphere really all calmed me down.

^ That's how they get you! Every calming aspect of Anthro is just a tool to get you to shop there and spend more money. I don't mind, they have the most original and beautiful clothes/accessories/things.

^ haha true! i do find the overly nice store staff to be a bit distracting and upsetting though, lol i guess its cause im so used to tired moany staff or rude ones or ones that just dont care on the high street..they are like 100 times nicer than the even nice ones..hehe.

^ Most of them are, but some are kind of snobby and rude. The other day I asked one of the girls if she knew where they had these Level 99 jeans, and she told me in a bothered voice to go ask the people at the front desk. I was like ummm...but you're supposed to find them for me, don't you work here? I'm not like a lazy person or anything, but I was bothered by the fact that she was acting like I was bothering her, or she'd be going out of HER way to find me something I wanted to buy. Sorry, I just had to vent! :)
I have an interview with them in a couple weeks. I'd love to work there because I LOVE helping people find clothes, look for things that look good on them, and I'm not a snob like some people who work there. I'd be working there for the experience, not for the discount.

Something I do that might also creep the staff out, is I STARE at them constantly! They always have the cutest outfits, considering they buy everything from Anthro because of the discount. I know it's so creepy to stare but I always love what they wear!

Sounds like a faaaaaaaaantastic day. Curious especially about the tea cake stand... sounds lovely... :woot:

I read today that Anthropologie will be putting out a vintage-inspired bridal line next year... oh my goodness, I'm excited.
