"I wanted to explore something more graphic, sportier than usual, using innovative and different textures,” said Antonio Berardi, who showed a resort collection that centered around architectural silhouettes and a smart use of colorblocking. A zipped cotton tweed jacket was covered with organza and worn over a stretch chiffon top featuring a cotton plissé panel, and a cotton tweed miniskirt. For a daintier, more romantic look, Berardi embellished the jacket of a silk gauze and cotton suit with a floral pattern of sequins, Swarovski crystals and sea pearls. Eveningwear included a chiffon shirt matched with a silk cady floor-length skirt for a severe yet sensual look.
