Antonio Marras F/W 14.15 Milan

the outwear is amazing, especially that silly fur coat cocktail with everything thrown in. I also like the way he worked with textures and patchwork. I think my biggest issue when it comes to his recent collections is that a good 70% looks like he's flirting hard with a very boring socialite clientele into stiff bland dresses with materials that went from being quirky for their richness to just "rich", and that weakened a lot of his more inspiring (and distinctive) theatricalness. I like that we're still getting a bit of that in this collection, some story-telling and some beautiful pieces.

thanks for bringing it here, Morphe!

Thank you Morphe for making a thread for this beautiful collection! I only stopped to take a look at the shows when Milan was already ending, and one the first things I looked for was Marras's collection. I was very happily not disappointed! (Can't say the same about most of the other NY/London/Milan shows I searched.)

I love the fall/wintery color palette with dark-neutral colors + ice blue and the occasional touches of warmer colors. This show is almost like a lecture on how to mix colors, materials/textures and prints while keeping the collection cohesive. You can see the looks evolving into the next ones, and it's always an evolution, not a repetition. Even the wolf ended up fitting in and evolving along. Very well done.

The wolves print. Can we do an Amazon review for that?

agree with MP :flower: the outerwear is amazing but those prints...

It's beautiful collection, I love most everything.

I adore his use of pastel colored lace and flowers emanating from the darkness like a phosphorescent glow in the night. Gorgeous juxtaposition of textures too.
