^^We have a small airport in Deurne, but It's not a big airport, only small airplanes can land there. It's easy to go from Brussel to Antwerp. You have busses and trains. If you take the train, the endstation to antwerp is "Antwerpen Centraal".

About the sizes, no idea...

Taking a direct flight is usually less expensive, that's why I asked, but I love travelling by train and I think if I can go I will get an InterRail card and check out some other places in Belgium as well

i love Bruno Pieters but his stuffs are high more than expensive.. i prefer to go to another outlet in MOL where you can get loads of KVA and Raf simons.. this year i was not able to be there as the past 7 years:-).... see u guys in april.. how was the price of Dries van Noten?

^honestly,for me the best place was still copyright. they've also got the international magazine store on melkmartkt. i never went there so i can't really say what their selection is like. once in a while,too,you can find some good mags in the convenience shops that are open during the day as opposed to the night shops. also,RA,as i mentioned carries a magazine/book selection so you may be able to find some good titles there.

i forgot to mention,regarding shopping,the shoe shop cocodrillo,on 8 & 9 A|B Schuttershofstraat....the women's and the men's are in two separate spaces but next door to each other.

Also you can check out Labels Inc. and Rosier 41. They are both 'outlet' stores but with a mix of new and second hand items, mostly Belgian designers but also the big French ones. Sometimes you can find real gems there, but those pieces usually get sold the day they arrive

Once I even found a coat from Demeulemeester from the current season at 60% off. Many of those new items are showroom models etc.
Both shops are owned by the same women and in the same street (I don't know why they just merge them). Rosier 41 is a lot bigger and nicer to shop.

So it looks like the designer stock sales will be in the week of April 25th this season? I want to go so bad but I wish Antwerp was more easily accessible by plane or whatever so I could make a 1-day trip. I don't think I can take 2 or 3 days off in that week

Antwerp is only 30 minutes by train from Brussels, which has an airport, so it really shouldn't be that difficult If you take an early flight, you can wait outside like all the hardcore fans at 8 AM

^Haha, thanks. But 1) the earlist flights from Zurich take off at 6am and 2) the only direct flights from here to Brussels during that week cost €900 opposed to the normal €200! And the cheap ones via Amsterdam would be around 4 hours of flying, plus traveling from and to the airport meaning it would take me almost as long to get there as if I just take the train. But I love traveling by train because I get to read and look at the beautiful landscapes so I might as well just go by train. I could sleep on the train, be all fit and rested for the shopping marathon and possibly go back the same day. We'll see, hopefully I can make it (And if not I'll go for the general summer sales because then I'd also get to check out the cities, museums and all, because then I would make an extended trip through the BeNeLux countries and France)

I just went to the Bruno Pieters stocksale and it is indeed his last one
(I had a little chat with his manager ^^)
It's was always the intention that Bruno would take a sabbatical, but it just lasted a little longer then originally planned, but they are working right now on reviving the brand, but she couldn't say more

On the stocksale
Everything was super cheap!!
A coat I wanted for four years (!) was originally 1000 euro, and in the previous stocksales it was 280, now only 150!

raf simons is having an archival sale during stock sale week. no word on what seasons but apparently this will be the best opportunity for shoppers to collect some of his most sought after and hard-to-find pieces through the years.
