please excuse my ignorance but, do the stocksales take place within the designer shop? from the previous pictures it doesn't seem like it... is there a detailed brochure or something to direct visitors to stocksales?

jamie,great pics of the stock sale showroom! i went there myself when i was in antwerp....i wish i had cash but alas only plastic on me that moment. it was really sort of a spontaneous venture as my friend ninette took me along with her one day after meeting for lunch at fish&chips. have you been by that place? it's really the local hang-out...it doesn't look too becoming with all the skater styles and the brigade of teenagers but the cafe up stairs is brilliant.

nope the stocksale is at her studio(southern part of the city, near the superhighway actually).. where design sketch ect are made...

^when i visted it was at a space near the river....a very quiet,almost desolate area..perhaps even a bit derelict in it's outward appearance. i remember because there were cargo boxes from the ships that were lining along the banks at the end of the street....and the saleroom was a bit like a warehouse.

i've been to her amazing shop though. at the very end of nationalestraat.

yeah,you don't need tickets or invites for these sales. otherwise i don't think they would post them so freely without indicates. they're open for everybody. when i went to ann's that year,i did think it was some top secret event as there were no signs or anything outside....but i learned otherwise. i don't know how explicit the other designers are with these sales though.....i know ann is very discreet.

i don't think walter ever does either. stock sales are different than your typical boutique sale. these are actually put on by the designers,themselves,and their own work.

jaime,what do you mean you can't wear af vandevorst? there's no rules. i own a couple pieces by them actually. and filip wears alot of their own stuff as well.
