i can't wait to switch to an iphone from my blackberry this december!! i'm just kinda sad because i have an ipod touch and it has like a million apps + the new software installed.. i don't think i can switch all my apps to my iphone. i mean, i know i can but i won't be able to get the updates for the paid apps.

i've done it about ten times now
it keeps getting easier and easier.
i remember the first time around, it was quite complex,
not for the technically challenge.
now apps do all the work.
i'm pretty sure i posted a how to link earlier in this thread
take a look
or you can always do a youtube video if you are one of those visual learners.
if all else fails, just pay some guy at a phone store to hack it for you.
i think it should be no more than 30.
it makes a difference if like me, your t-mobile bill is 35$
no need for a contract with at&t for 90+ a month.
but if you are already paying that much with t-mobile might as well jump over to at&t any ?s just ask.

dorien- really you can jailbreak an iphone to be compatible with tmobile? im in a family plan with my BF and he doesnt want to switch to att but i reallyyy want an iphone. we have fave 5s with tmobile which is really helpful. that would be great if i could get an iphone with tmobile.. but wouldnt tmobile find out? would i just need to get an iphone on ebay or somethin?

if you are not a tech savy kind of individual and this seems overwhelming
than i suggest you purchase an already jailbroken iPhone.
my friends have used craigslist for this.
just make sure that when you meet the individual, take someone with you, friend or something.
TEST IT before buying. if it's already jailbroken, take out your SIM card from your phone, place it in iPhone. it should register t-mobile serve on top left. make a call. make sure everything works.
price....? in NYC they are going for around 350-500 depending model and use.

^In my iTunes (on the laptop) the playlist 'Recently Added' the songs are organized by 'Play Count'. Then when I sync my iPhone with iTunes, it muddles them all up.
On my iPhone, when I play the iPod, Top 25 Most Played is mostly songs that I hardly ever listen to.
iTunes on my Laptop is in perfect order. Then after I sync my iPhone with iTunes (on my Laptop) they get all muddled up on the iPhone.

Tmobile will know you are using an iPhone, (or at least a non-Tmo phone) but they won't do anything about it. I just ordered an iPhone this morning. I was going to buy an unlocked one, but I got impatient and decided to just go with AT&T.
I know when I get the monthly phone bill I'll be crying.
It looks like it will be an extra $60 more than my Tmobile bill.

t-mobile will know what type of phone you are using.

my mum and my 55 year old, old man are using hacked iphones.
they still have trouble figuring things out, even though it's in spanish, but they are learning.
they are on a family plan with my little sis, (also hacked iphone user)
it's honestly not that hard, but first time can be daunting.
just follow instructions. you can't really f-up the phone. it's only software.
if you make a mistake, reset the phone, and try again.
it's not like before where you had to open it up, the first hacks were
good luck.

onehotgrrl that's why my bf doesn't want us to switch to att tmobile has some great plans, especially with the fave 5 family plan. let me know how much your phone bill comes out to be compared to tmobile. maybe i can convince my bf to switch. right now we pay about $82 a month for 2 phones with 700 mins total and unlimited to 5 phone numbers each, plus unlimited nights n weekends.

PP - AT&T now has the A list, which is just like the Tmobile fave 5, but ATT lets you pick 10 people to call for free.
