is anyone springing for the 3GS? i just ordered a white 32GB one and am very excited to replace my 4.5 year-old horrible and busted phone with this beauty. i've heard complaints about the 'phone' aspect of iPhone but i'm sure it will still be head and shoulders above what i'm used to (haha, people on the other end of the phone are often unable to hear me! ). i really wanted a 3G last year but i'm glad that i'm getting this one - i'll be able to put all 10+GB of my music on it with lots of room to spare.

ragtag, I personally love my iphone I have the first gen and I feel that it is a great device. If I ever swap my phones over for a day or so I really miss its features such as having access to the full internet that you take for granted once you are so used to having an iphone in your pocket.
About the new 3GS I would like to upgrade mine however I feel that for the few extra features such as upgraded camera and video capture i dont think its enough to make me want to upgrade to this model.
I think what I will do is try the new version of software that is available to all iphone owners a of today and see how I feel about the improvements then and decide if to or not to upgrade.

I want the 3GS but I have too many other things to pay for right now. The additional features are nice but things I can live without, I'm actually more excited about the 3.0 update. I've been waiting for copy and paste for so long. My brother is getting the new iphone and letting me sell his old one, although its pretty beat up.

that definitely makes sense! everyone i know who has the original loves it, it's more robust than the 3G for sure. the firmware upgrade should make a difference. i think it's finally available today, depending on where you're at.

i can't wait to be able to use my phone for more than 200 minutes of spotty chatting per month.... haha.

I have just updated with the 3.0 software. It's so much better.
The apps and internet are faster, and I love the rotate messaging.

i cant wait to get the white 32gb version....but its its gna cost me 150quid to leave my current contract, then 200 for the phone and 45 a months for two years...

Oh man! When I get back to the US I am sooo getting my hands on the 32GB 3GS. It's perfect since I need a new 30+ GB mp3 player ever since someone stole my iPod Touch.

I also need a new phone and a new plan and new number and everything, so this will be ridiculously easy.

Tipulator spits the check and calculates tip. I also like free memory, it speeds up the phone and keeps it from crashing as much without having to restart the phone. If you text and like smilies, typing genius gives you hundreds of cute smilies you can use. As far as games, I like wurdle, all the papi games, sway, peggle, cooking mama, bejewled, kagami mochi, enigmo. Fashionfix is an outfit mix and match game for tweens that I find oddly entertaining

tipulator does that, but last night it made a calculation completely incorrectly by $1.

hmm im still stuck between BB & iphone---especially as I can now get the BB bold for free on a £30 a month contract! (& 18 months!) Whereas the iphone is gonna cost £100 & then prob £45 a month.

I dunno if its worth it, but then part of me sooo knows it is I guess you get what you pay for!
