Are luxury goods getting more expensive, or am I just getting older?

Some labels are completely out of wack - like burberry, chanel, chloe. That makes brands like balenciaga, mcqueen, max mara seem very reasonable.
Marc Jacobs, I find is OK with clothes, but shoes are a bit OTT with the prices.

No, they really are getting more expansive. I've seen items that I brought a year ago at higher prices now.

i think of alexander mcqueen and balenciaga as more expensive than burberry and chloe.

Yanka, do you mean in reference to what you get (quality, style, etc.)? Because the brands you site as reasonable are in general much more expensive than what you site as expensive...

OK, my mistake I should have specified. Obviously the items I buy from Balenciaga (like pants and sweaters) are cheaper than similiar pants and sweaters in Chanel. A balenciaga handbag is cheaper than an average Chloe one.
Unfortunetly, I'm not the kind of person who buys runaway dressed for 15'000 euro, so no comparison here.
