Oh my God, she is fenomenal
Miss Jeffreys shot with her and this is what he says:
So I finally got to shoot with the FABULOUS Arlenis!!! Our shoot got postponed from last week.
Trust, this girl is the new Ovahness!!! Her personality is sooo great; she's sooo sweet, funny, cute and smart. She taught herself english within 2 months and speaks very well!!
She's really good in front of the camera, really natural and easy. Arlenis takes direction well and knows how to move within the feeling she's been given to work! I hope to work with her again in the future.

^ Stunning! I'm glad the industry isn't taking forever giving Arlenis the exposure she needs like it usually does for tons of other black models!

I am beyond delighted to see such a stunning, elegant, Dominican model marking her ground in the fashion business. I am Dominican myself and it makes me so proud to watch her explode on to the scene with such alacrity.
The Met Gala??? That is just incredible, would kill to see those pictures. I can not wait to see her in italian vogue and American vogue.

Resort season may be something of a yawn (how much enthusiasm can the average gal really invest in a collection originally meant for the moneyed who filled their Vuitton steamer trunks with caftans and straw hats and jetted off to the South of France?) but it's getting a shakeup this week thanks to a stunning new face: Arlenis Pena. The Dominican-born beauty had us captivated yesterday morning at Oscar de la Renta, and apparently the designer is quite taken with her, as well--she escorted him to the Met Costume Institute Gala last week.
She also hit the runway at Dior on Monday and is said to have a starring role in the upcoming issue of Italian Vogue dedicated exclusively to black beauties, along with Jourdan Dunn, Iman, and Alek Wek. Not a bad C.V. for just 3 weeks in the business....looks like Marilyn has its next major star.

you know, even though i really don't understand the "hype" surronding her, i have to admit she's doing big things for being a model for less than a month. especially since she's bigger than the average model. good for her!
