i love that painting too crying diamonds it reminds me of james whistler's paintings which i adore
lately i really like those gigantic 19th century visionary landscape paintings. they are just wonderful seeing them in person, it sort of brings the viewer to another world.
saddly that james ward's painting was illy received when he finished it, which caused him financial problems. i will post some paintings i quite like from another great visionary painting, Francis Danby. some of this paintings are mythical paintings im guessing. remind me of that white horse tee from martin margiela
wikipedia
a rather quite painting from him which i really like
Vincent van Gogh: Prisoners Exercising (after Doré), Saint-Rémy, February 1890

The background of the picture is very interesting. At the time van Gogh painted it, he was in a mental hospital and the guy with the blonde hair is said to be himself- so it's a very autobiographical painting.
