Ashlee Simpson Booed Off Stage

she looks so sad...
Boo hoo. She's sold a few million records. She's loaded. She has way more than she rightfully should.

But she's still human. She has feelings. In my opinion most celebs have more than they rightfully should. Look at britney for example; image, image, image. Jessica Simpson is another example. Everyone in the movie business are examples. No one really has talent like they do back in the day. Today, it's all about images.

I agree, she doesnt deserve to be front page news..and I have read that Destinys Child got booed before and Beyonce's sister Solange a while back when she was on stage..I guess they just pick on Ashlee in particular because of the SNL thing.

What I'm trying to say is that, in my opinion, her being booed at an event she's being paid a fortune to perform at is jack sh*t compared to people with real problems.

Yep. There's been more than one instance of talentlessness now, yet she's still making heaps of money as a performer. That is why it's big news; it's completely ridiculous. Everyone's booed at some time or anyother, but not everyone flat out sucks.

I did see her on an episode of her show talking about how she's really happy for jessica but it's a bit hard for her to watch it all, i think she said it b/c they were filming a pizza hut ad and jessica was dolled up and picture perfect, and ashley kept saying she looked like a boy, and she didn't like her hair. It must be kind of hard to know your older sister is prettier and more talented....but in a way she was asking for it...they will always be compared.

a dispassionate response is:
ashlee chose a career in show business.
once you submit yourself to the public eye, anything goes.
{even if it was her scary father who manages and pushed her to sing, she still chose it. }
she must have seen show biz first-hand watching her sister's rise so ash presumably was up for it.
when an audience pays to attend an event [or even goes to a free event] they have the right to cheer or boo. thats that.
if ashlee blew it, again, she earns boos.
if they gave her a standing ovation, she would have accepted it.
its two sides of the same coin. tough rocks, ash, maybe talk more singing & dancing lessons.
lova ya, babe.

And what I'm trying to say is- she's not the only one. Plenty of celebs.

Actually, a lot of performers flat out suck. Britney Spears comes to mind. So does Jessica Simpson. Her singing...we can't even call it singing. Like her dad said, she's just on stage to look pretty. Everyone wants to root for the pretty girl.

Yes. Human beings all have feelings.

It would make a lot of us feel better if Ashlee (did she start spelling her name like that to be different?) Simpson took an early retirement.

Yes, she's not the only one and plenty of celebs suck. But that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve all the criticism she's getting.

Personally, I think the criticism against her is a good first step toward the general public's realization of what talent is and is not.

That's very harsh. Would you like it if someone said something like that about you, in a job that you were doing?

^Again, it's show business. You leave yourself open to criticism. And personally, if I totally sucked at my job like Ashlee does, I would be greatful to be informed of such a thing so I don't embarrass myself any further.

HAHAHAHA. Ashlee Simpson's expression in the above pictures look like she is saying, "What? They don't like me..?!?"

WAKE UP, SISTER. :flower:

i wouldn't worry too much... this type of thing will only make her more famous than she is...

remember britney's early performances? everybody picked on her and look where she is now (not talking about her public image, but her 100's of million in her bank)... i guess they have replaced her for ashlee but it could be lindsay or hilary or whoever is the next teen "pop princess" is... so she shouldn't take it personally.

and whether we like it or not, even if her career ends she'll still be a millionarie (and when you have so much money... i doubt you're eager to work if you know what i mean).

on top of that her album hasn't been released in many countries where people have no idea who she is yet and where they don't give a crap about snl or nfl performances and miming is accepted... let's not forget there are many american artists (anastacia, to name one) that do not sell in the usa but sell million everywhere else, so just because america hates her, it doesn't mean the rest of the world will (to give you an example... believe it or not the magazine InStyle adores her and they have been promoting her style in many countries and they despise jessica... many of the quotes about ashlee include "thankfully, unlike her boring sister jessica, ashlee has a personality" etc etc etc... just an example how the her pr team can disguise her "fakeness" and make her a star abroad).
