Gosh this sounds totally unreasonable and strange!
I've ordered from them for years and nothing vaguely like this ever happened.
I would probably call them up and speak to them directly, if I really want that order to go through.

I know, it's a bit weird. I checked my account and the order has been cancelled, so I know the email WAS actually from them.... but to ask for details like that? Really odd. I'll take your advice and ring them I think.

Ok problem sorted, I sent an annoyed sounding email to customer services, and within minutes had an email saying they'd cancelled my order by mistake, and to make up for it, here's 25% off my next order. I now like ASOS again

Can I just say that EVERYTHING i've ever bought from the asos own brand has been revolting quality, and over priced. I bought a blazer for fifty quid, the label has come off in the post so I couldn't return it, and it was DREADFUL.
