I love the pictures you posted Fabulyss, I only wish they didn't have that symbol in the middle so I could get a better look at them! :) Thanks for posting them.

Audrey Hepburn is one of my biggest inspirations, her and Twiggy are at least my biggest fashion inspirations. She amazes me so.
I love her in Roman Holiday and Sabrina, they are my favorites of hers.

I don't know if this picture has been posted yet but I love this one so I am gonna post it.

she had a great, great style. but am i the only one who thinks she is so extremely overrated? she isn't more beautiful than most actresses, and her acting abilities aren't the best either. i just don't get all the fuss!

My ultimate favorite of her looks was her beatnik style in funny face. It was just soo cool. When I first saw it I dressed in all black for two weeks (ah how easily a seven-year old falls in love).

no matter what movie she was in,what age,any picture, she just glows.that's the difference between her and every other actress.she had feeling, you can see in her eyes.i went by Arnhem in Holland in december but i had no chance to visit Huis Doorn, her family estate.but what a wonderful place Holland is,it really explains her a lot!!!

you think? I've lived in Holland all my life and as much as it pains me to speak negatively of it i certainly don't see how Holland explains Audrey at all.. actually none of Audreys key qualities such as grace, subtility, humility aren't very Dutch qualities at all. I've seen interviews she did her on her vistits later on in her life to Holland and they are so painfully awkward..the interviewers treat her like she's a dutch girl and expect her to pick up on some raunchy humor but she just doesn't.. plus I don't think she ever spoke Dutch well(2 years ago i went to an Audrey exibit here in Amsterdam at the film museum and they had a lot of letters written by in Dutch her during the occupation and they were written in very broken dutch, she learned English when her Mum moved to Arnhem cause it was dangerous to speak English publically)..making it hard to communicate with Dutch people to a full extent. I'm sure Holland influenced her but she was a very unique individual and i'd say that various things influenced the way she grew up to be, that's the hard thing to pin point about her, like her accent.. she's a one of a kind a product of events and locations that moulded her values and made her into the radiant angel that she was as an adult. I think it was more so living and surviving WW2 in Holland than Holland as a country in itself that was most of influence on her.

Yes, she was always the same in every role...But I do like her and her films are great fun to watch! But the style is probably the thing I like the most in her. She's definetily a fashion icon to me. And she does photograph quite well, though she sometimes looks too skinny.

well I guess we've had WAY different experiences than.I think what she also went through with her father...her father left her family when she was very young, and maybe b/c she didn't have a "father" she had a desire to love and to do good and be happy, much more than most people.
The people I've been around in Holland,in Bakel and in Amsterdam, are so kind and welcoming, loving and hardworking and yes, very humble.

:( i just lost a long reply. anyway. I can totally see where you're coming from. I used have a simular point of view to yours but after i saw those Dutch interviews i realized the contrast between Audrey and the Dutch . And as much as i WISH she was a true Dutch girl, i honestly don't think that she was. I think people here in Holland would be the first to admit it because here she isn't famous at all for being of Dutch decent and people aren't even really openly proud of her having lived here etc. the general public doesn't even really know about that. Every nation has their good and bad qualities and i can see how as a first impression you could see what you saw.
I also agree what you said about her father, i think that too definetly formed her to be as good as a person as she was to others etc. I think it was a combination experiences and of the pain she felt growing up that made her want to give back and be the amazing person she was. She was a true inspiration. To transform all that pain to so much good is incredible but i think that pain always remained in her, making her so prone to depression.

I watched an Audrey documentary today called "Biography" and decided to make some caps!!

It's Only Natural. I personally have Twiggy in mine, but that doesn't mean that I won't at sometime have Audrey in it. :D
