Bracewell Fall/winter 2004

Apologies they are a bit old. :( But I don't think the fashion has changed that much here. :P

Oroton Spring/summer 2005

This campaign looks a lot like the Louis Vuitton campaign, but it's cool, because it's shot locally in Australia. Sorry, I have no idea who these models are.

okay i'm laughing at some of the suggestions people gave you. supre, jacqui e. haha. australian fashion is is very foward. we are most definitely not behind. in some area's we are in front. if you look in culture magazines like nylon, they are constantly featuring designers out of australia.
i'm from brisbane, and i do better shopping than what most people have listed. haha yes you will find very casual people. but isn't there very casual people in new york city too. haha yes i am living here and believe me there is. ANYWAY i'm doing an interior design assignment at the moment, got a little sidetracker on this thread. might come back another day and show what australian style is really about. and where you should really shop haha.

^ i think those were just examples of where a lot of people do shop. a LOT of young melbournians dress in a similar type of "uniform," i suppose like most places in the world, which usually includes skinny jeans, dyed blonde & deliberately messy hair, lots of fake tan, thongs.. but there are definitely plenty of stylish people in melbourne depending on where you are!

there hasn't really been any australian designer that i particularly like...most of the time i think they are very inspired.. but i do like yeojin bae...

I love Yeojin Bae as well. Her cuts are so good.

There aren't many Australian designers I'm a huge fan of either unfortunately (though I am Australian). I like Kate Sylvester and Karen Walker though they are from New Zealand. Actually just remembered I like Willow (by Kit Willow), her clothes are also very well cut as well as being unique yet wearable.

The brand Jacqui E is like US's Ann Taylor Loft, Olga Berg is a cheap fashion bag brand (cheap like under US$80), and Oroton is like US's Coach, but worse and less fashion. Cue used to be like Ann Taylor Loft but is probably more like Zara but pretty much only business wear (and not as good) - and those photos are when it was more like Ann Taylor Loft.

You should take a look at the Rosemont Aus Fashion Week website... i think it is www.afw.com.au from memory. If you look at the archive sites - for previous seasons... there is a list of all participating designers and their address, contact numbers etc. Hope this helps
