Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley celebrated the release of Avril's latest album, Best Damn Thing, at New York City's The Box. Wearing a vintage pink tutu dress and black Doc Martin boots, the pop-rock princess said that though she's a bit older and wiser now, "the record's totally not mature, it's playful, bratty, bitchy. I just want to rock out and have a good time!" Since the guests got to dance to tunes by DJ Stretch, nibble on hot-pink cake, and walk away with goodie bags containing Godiva chocolates, hot-pink MAC lip gloss and Avril's new CD, a good time was had by all.

I hate how Perezhilton is posting all these negative reviews of her album and portraying it that way. It's a great album. It may not live up to her last but artists can't always top themselves with every record. Hot definitely is a favorite track of mine but I sincerely enjoy all of them. I don't care for the SUM 41 influence on some tracks but overall a good album. Avril is very talented.

^Oh, that's not fair! Of course this album is diffirent than her Under my skin but I think that it's only a good thing. I can like them both (well, I have liked her every album) very well but it's nice that she tries something else this time. it's good to hear her new album is good! i don't care if it's not as good as her last album or if it's better, it's new and i expect it to be different
