i still dont understand why people should always put racism in every cup of tea, coffee or even chocolate. Just see something and love or hate it. i believe the maids are people not latinas just like kimora is a designer no one has mentioned her race yet..>>

Urban Stylin, latina women stereotyped as MAIDS in the US .. I dunno if you just aren't aware of it because you are not in the US; so many cultural references seem vague and lost ... now me being a latino infuriates me seeing this type of portrayal ... so much I'd rather have her spitting on my face ... please note that I've ever EVER felt this way about something that has been posted in tFS. And yes, to many people it may seem racist, to many people may seem as a reality (though I dont think Kimora is protesting with these ads) ..but the fact is there's a maid in the ad and is latina.
I'm not taking it personal towards you or any of the people who posts in this thread ... Kimora Lee just seems to prove the type of person she's with this ads.

that ad is SO SCARY...i mean..all you see are bones covered in ugly denim..and then boobs..and the her HUGE head. she looks like she had cheek implants the size of tomatoes put into her..and dont even get me started on her ENORMOUS hair..jesus..the whole ad was just frightening

I find Kimora, her clothing line and these ads horribly tacky and self-serving. As someone else mentioned it's quite a contrast to show that luxurious home and the maids while wearing clothes that look as if they are straight from the ghetto. What is she selling really? The average person who wears 'urban' labels doesn't live in a mansion and the people who live in mansions don't usually wear ghetto fabulous clothes. The ads aren't realistic imho.

I think that she and her husband have both done extremely well for themselves. Kimmora looks gorgeous in other designer clothes, and I think she wanted to have a clothing brand of her own, but it's very stereotypical that tacky ghetto girls wear it, and it's making her a bunch of money so why not play it up. Using the maids is so that the brand looks glamorous. Don't really like that idea

definitely...She's somewhat slender, but she's not THAT slender. I think she was MUCH more beautiful when she was younger.

I think the bangs age her, at least the pictures that I've seen of her. If you go to Getty Images, search for her, and look at the last pages, you can see older pics of her where I think she looks quite pretty.

i HATE kimora lee simmons...she has no class..i saw her MTV cribs episode and few other shows where she gave a tour of her house...and she kept mentioning the cost of things and looking really smug and bragging about the tacky versace silverware...she is sooo classless and snobby...GRRR!

i just saw that episode last night, she bought alotta gianni versaces furniture, including the bed from his master bedroom. Aint that a lil creepy to be sleeping in a dead guys bed.

While I was getting my hair done today I was looking through a Bazaar from Januray 2004 and it had some article on Kimora in the back with pictures of her house and it included her latina maids.

And she says she has 300 pairs of jeans! What are you going to do with 300 pairs of Jeans? I think its time for her to take a trip to the salvation army...
