IMHO, Babyshambles really aren't that good. Had a chance to go see them and didn't bother; friends said they were OK live. Do really like "**** forever" I guess . . . but I always thought the Libertines were a better band - "Death on the stairs" - what a tune!

You are right, The Libertines was a completely different band. Never got to see them live unfortunately, but I've seen Pete play with Carl and they certainly have a special chemistry on stage. Still, shambles are really good live on a good day, and worth seeing if you get the chance. Pete on stage is a show in himself; and also, you won't find an audience like his any other place in Europe I'm quite sure. Madness.

Haha yes, madness. Always wear boots with heals to a shambles gig to kick the people going mad and to not being stamped on. I remember I was once all up front in a small gig Pete did in east London, and all night I was leaning towards the fence separating the audience and the stage. When I got back I had bruises all over my hips and stomach because of the pressure and pushing from behind. On the other hand, I was once at this other shambles gig with SiennaInLondon where they didn't have a fence, and ended up falling upon stage. Well, the platform they called a stage anyway.

Not many of my friends are taking a liking to them but I have a couple that are liking them...Its all I play in my car so they have to put up with it

Body: It..s raining but still warmer than London......Portugal was amazing, had to stop the show as the stage was on the verge of collapsing-Just like the old days.
Played loads of songs, Pretty sue getting stronger and stronger, hopefully play PS alongside ..Tinkers Daughter..or the other un-named few we have bubbling around.
Hoping to come away from our European Jaunt with at least ten new ones ready.
By the time we get to Brixton, should be a fair few new airings.
