 but of course my dearest tott, respect -even more when disagreeing- is too chic to miss out on :p :flower:

I like black very much, but I don't know what misterious reason makes me not wear a lot of black althought I love it. Maybe is what you're saying, that it looks boring and I hate lookig boring. But it's true that you look really thin in black, and I love it.

i absolutely adore black. i wouldnt want to go my entire life wearing nothing but black but i do love the color for clothes. it has nothing to do with looking thin, im more than thin enough and could actually stand to gain about 10 lbs. i just think its beautiful, understated, yet sexy at the same time. slightly o/t but i'm not big on trends...i love fashion magazines/websites/etc. b/c i get to look at beautiful designs and collections but if i like something thats "in" or "trendy" it's because i like the way it looks, not b/c its in style. if black were to suddenly go "out of style" i would still love it as much as i do today.

I don't think these pieces lack ornamentation though~ although that is a good thing. Even though most of the pieces are black they really are playing up the textures, cuts, ruffles, and adornments like buttons and cuffs.

It's funny that they should put a picture of Ann's black outfit as a "trend"

why faust? Ann is becoming quite trendy & commecial you know

I third Fashionista-ta and Lena. I used to wear all black in my late teens/early twenties. Don't get me wrong, I think it's very chic, but I rarely wear black any more. Personally, I think color or white/ivory suits my complexion better.

Fashionista, I'm in the south as well and remember the same comments about wearing black.

Because this particular trend simply referes to black color, which Ann has been doing since day one, no matter what trends were out there. Black is her SIGNATURE.

Black is a basic colour, and people have worn it forever. I happen to love it. It may be safe and boring to some, but not to me. I prefer to think of it as discreetly elegant instead of "boring camouflage". ;)

Anyway, all black hasn't really been widely worn for quite a while now. It feels "new" to me. And I mean full, rich, deep black silks and wools, not washed-out cotton. :p

ditto... :flower:
very elegant and chic...

I love black and forever will. Thanks to some friends who have been persuading me for yonks, I've started to "dip my paintbrush in other colors" when it comes to my wardrobe but I still find myself tending towards to darker colors. Perhaps it because I receive most compliments then. I think it's to do with the way dark colors look on my pale skin ... I've been told it's a very striking contrast. But most of all, I think black is me ... I dunno how to explain it. Like how I feel happy on dark stormy days when most people love sunshiny days.

one more reason to have Ann's work in as finally trendy faust..
truth is there is already too much black on Zara for fall (collections are already out here)

bores me to tears

faust> of course a coincidence but also a sign that 'popular' esthetics have been 'moving' away from the commercially obvious.. or the tacky
most designers had black in their collections to see ann's black posted here as 'typical' example of well exectuded 'black' of the fw05.06 season is certainly a sign of 'moving forward' esthetics no?
i like this :)

Oh I love black.. Its a great colour to wear because of how you can dress it up or down and match it with so many other colours and accessories!

**EDIT : PICS CHANGED FOR ATTACHMENTS. RESIZE/ATTACH PICS THAT ARE TOO BIG.**
