Balenciaga Florabotanica Fragrance : Kristen Stewart by Steven Meisel

the styling and the pose are great IMO, but the hair - makeup- her grimace are plain bad.
it's looks collage-y tho and it's kinda swallowing her, dunno.

I don't mind it.. I think any faults here lie with the art direction and not with Kristen. I just don't understand why they went with such a tired dress.. I think Jennifer Connelly even wore it in one of their previous ads. They should have made something new especially for this. But I do think the hair and make-up suits her.

^About the dress: I thought that was odd too. Nicholas could have designed something new for this ad, couldn´t he?

oh def, i don't see how the final result could be her fault at all.
good point about the dress too, despite of how much i like it, it does seem lazy to re-use it for a new big campaign.

was anyone else expecting a black and white image similar to charlotte gainsbourgs ad for the other fragrance?

He's on a mission to make every woman appear half dead. Drained of colour, lank hair, blank, vacant expression... strange.

not B&W but I was expecting something more natural and beautiful. imo Kristen is a beautiful girl specially when she´s barely wearing makeup. I was hoping to see that, not this for sure

I agree too that it's strange that they would have her in a dress that was already featured in an ad campaign already. Even though she looks good in it I thought they would of made her something special considering it's the launch of their second perfume. I can't believe this is what they came up with.

She's....she's just standing there. -_-

I think this would have been more effective without her involvement or if she were at least trying to model. I love the shot of the perfume bottle in midair.

Poor girl looks confused. Probably because she can't understand why Nicholas chose her. Neither do I, to be honest.

With all of those clashing elements she still manages to look boring and bland. Out of all the young actresses that could have been chosen they go for one of the worst.

She looks like she's come in from the rain, the bottle looks like it was based on liquorice allsorts... if I find the actual perfume smells irresistible, I'll feel bad about buying it, because I'll be making their marketing department think this advert encouraged the purchase.

I've seen bad parfum ads, but this takes the cake. It's just painful to look at. I don't get why they had to use a 2008 piece, and even more confusing because Jennifer and Kristen have dark hair and green eyes  . The major difference being that Jennifer rocked this dress, and Kristen is only standing there like she has a tummy ache.

So far I quite like it. Have to wait for the bigger version, but it sort of reminds me of I&V collages. Plus it's lovely to see a S/S 2008 piece in it.

The bottle's hideous, though.

strange the put her in this dress i think? anyway i quite like the rest of the design
