Balenciaga Fragrance : Charlotte Gainsbourg by Steven Meisel

Well, it's quite different what I was expecting to see... but it's lovely, looks very fresh. I love how they separated the bottle and Charlotte.

Hmm i was expecting something more, more edgy...Something screaming Balenciaga...This is for Chanel but not for Balenciaga...

Wonderful, exactly how a fragrance campaign should be, timeless and classic.

Looks like Steven's earlier work in the 90's,simple and fresh.Just rate this thread ★★★★★.^_^

i quite like it although ive been too fed up with charlotte lately...

Indeed very 90's.

Can't agree with that....to me especially the simple perfume shot is very 1972. But then again, some of the 90s stuff did have that reference as well. So I suppose it's derivative. To me it looks so pure, not at all the greasiness of the 90s. If you know what I mean...

I see what you mean. But with 90's I meant to say it looks like it could be a VI cover shot from that decade. It's more in line with his work from that era, than from the 00's.

What a stunning ad. I love Meisel, Charlotte and Balenciaga, so I kinda knew I'd like this, but wow...

As other people have said it's great to see Meisel doing simpler, fresher stuff than what he usually likes these days - no crazy make-up or settings, just pure (but it's Charlotte, so also unusual) beauty:blush:

^is there something that indicates this is not new?

i love the nature morte (stilleven, still-live ?) but as i'm more than fed up with Charlotte ... i hate the rest !

i think the nature morte alone would be much better !!!

i would like to smell this.
