I love that they included the information how each garment was made. I find this particularly interesting. It's about the red parka from look 41.I thought this was kinda fun lol --> They posted a sort of couture online store. Mariacarla's robe dress is 45k euros
.DUE TO THE GARMENT’S COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION, AN EXTERNAL ATELIER CREATES THE BASE USING A HEAT-SEALING TECHNIQUE FOR THE SEAMS. BALENCIAGA'S COUTURE ATELIER THEN TAKES OVER WITH AN INNER TAILORING CANVAS TO FURTHER REINFORCE THE STRUCTURE.
Say's it's hand painted with oilsIs that real denim or trompe l'oeil? Like duchess satin or taffeta or whatever, "screen printed to look like distressed denim". Either way, it's not particularly interesting.
^That’s cool and all but an oil based paint/ink doesn’t really set for years, especially when painted on. I’d question the longevity of it or if the fabric itself has been primed and then given a final coat to prevent transferring.
The inner legs of these pants and the armpits of the jackets are gonna end up looking murky if they haven’t done so.
Yes, they remade an archival dress with no modifications to it at all. I can't with this brand anymore.
