There was a time when designers bags were very identifiable and specific to one brand. Balenciaga's bags under NG never looked like Chanel or LV bags never looked like Dior.
Of course some shapes were universal but overall, it was a bag=a brand.
That particular bag is indeed a copy of the LV Alma which was created by LV for Coco Chanel at the time so apart from Hermes, some luggages brands (that Dome shape was popular in the 30's) and Chanel (who did it in the 90's as an hommage), nobody has done his kind of bag since.
Hedi Slimane kinda destroyed everything at Saint Laurent when he started to do Chanel-look-alike bags. Now, everybody is shamelessly copying everybody.
And Gucci and Balenciaga right now are the worst at it....
