actually they are pretty comfortable and easy to walk in...
when you wear them with a pant/jean, it looks like you're wearing a bootie...
i know they also come in black leather, black suede, and a reddish-orange suede...

Question: what are the best resources for tracking down past season items? I have major regret of non-purchase for the men's fall 2007 peacoat with gold buttons and fur trim/the green parka with fur trim from that season. I've trawled ebay and have a wanted item post, check yoox, etc. but they keep eluding me!

Any advice as to where to turn? I figured I could use some expert advice at this point...TIA xo

maybe try contacting the balenciaga people, i've contacted prada in the past concerning acquiring 3 year old stuff and so far i got all the stuff i wanted in the end

I once contacted Balenciaga in order to find a f/w 09 coat and didn't get a reply to this day. But you should try and report your experience.

thanks for the advice! i may try balenciaga and the outlet outside NYC, but have a feeling they aren't responsive haha

I freaking love my Balenciaga cut out boots. They are my absolute dream shoes.

They fit true to size, run narrow (which works for me), and fit perfectly. If you dream about these shoes, get them!! You won't regret it.
Price wise, they're not cheap. Be prepared to be out $1275.

I'm about to order these shoes in zebra. Do you know if they run true to size? I have2 pairs of bal sandals - 1 in 42 and 1 in 41 but they're sold out of 42 in this shoe! I havea very narrow foot so i hope i can squeeze into 41!

I find Balenciaga shoes run very small especially fall/Winter 2012
