seriously, when i saw those shoes i just thought of parties, going out, having fun. they are really fab shoes and are starting to get a lot of press for sure. is there a gucci boutique in new mexico? if you want to reserve those shoes, i can provide you an SA at my local boutique. she's really great. i already told her i am interested in the red flares too even though i did not reserve those. only the ostrich ones.

one thing i can see is, if you really want these for work too, is if you wear a skinny dress suit in all black (with a cute small silk neck scarf or something) and then wearing the black flares. sure the gold will stand out, like any gold necklace/earrings, etc, but it won't be over-the-top and i think it will be appropriate enough for work.

sorry for the late reply - i'm drooling over the red flares - now that i remember that sometimes i have a life i'm thinking, why not go all the way and do the red flares? i remember you saying you had reserved the ostrich ones - yummy! no gucci boutique here unfortunately - i have to go off of pictures and the occasional shopping trip elsewhere to actually see these shoes.. but if you don't think your SA would mind, i'd love to get her name from you!

Those shoes are hot. The gold ones were in the July issue of Elle. In fact, a lot of Gucci was featured on the pages of July Elle...more than usual.
