The Hippie Headband

i actually like these "hippie" headbands, but what i'm afraid of is that soon it will become a ubiquitous trend with the youth & just become tacky. This is one of those trends where very few can do, but many will dare to.

I like the narrow bands, they are cute. I look SO much like a hippie (straight out of 1969) when I wear a headband. I have an embarassing pic somewhere. Not sure that I'm up for posting

I don't dislike headbands worn that way.
Ashley Olsen pulls it off very well, IMO.
Mischa Barton on the other hands looks very costume it in.
Not a good look when done to the nines.

i think it looks great on some people. too bad it doesn't work so well on me. every time i tried to put it on my head, it tends to slip right off. or when i do the wrap around with a scarf, it just looks so funny on me.

i've always assumed they were "over", but I guess they are coming back.

Honestly, I wear these "hippie"esque headbands because my bangs are at a terribly awkward length at the moment. I do switch to hair-clips sometimes, but headbands tend to hold my bangs better. I'm not against the look at all; I find it to be very cute.
