Ballet flats

^ WOW! You like 'em dontcha?

.... :yuk:

On another ballet note, I bought Stella McCartney flats today and I should have kept them on longer when trying them, cause BOY DO THEY HURT...........!

Is it because I've never worn ballet flats before or are they simply BADLY done?

Ballets in general have very little support for your foot, that could be the issue ... no personal experience with Stella's shoes. But btw, I believe she doesn't use all natural materials ... her shoes are vegan, which in most cases means she is using fake (i.e., petroleum derived) materials as she's avoiding leather (which is, of course, natural).

thanks, grill! i think ill just keep them. the elastic isnt too loose and i have toe wiggle room. i dont like the idea of expecting my shoes to stretch out. if anything, i can just add some sole inserts.

I have a pair of DIOR lambskin leather flats (western ballerina in pewter) and I actually had to take them to my shoe guy for him to stretch them because I got them too snug and the elastic backing kept digging up my heel, and my toes kept pushing the front of the shoe.

Once they stretched they felt like a 1/2 larger, with more toe room, and a LOT easier on my heels and toes.

I got them in a size 36, because I used to pick my shoes to be snug, but once I got a pair of fendi flats in a 36.5 and they were absolute heaven.

so definitely get ur size, and don´t make them be too tight. leave some wiggle room but not too much. The shoe will not stretch that much (unless it´s a pair of uggs lol)

My Lanvin flats are the most comfortable flats I own. I think it has something to do with the leather sole. I also tend to buy a half bigger than I'm used to wearing. I wear mine everywhere and haven't had any issues with the elastic. However, I also wear "no show" socks everytime so that I keep the shoes in better form and so that i don't get blisters if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking. I usually get my "no shows" in Nude at the gap or macy's.

Are there any 'fake' Lanvin flats on ebay. I want to buy some but I dont want to spend more than $200 or so. I dont know how much they retail for.

Those black flats from Post #2393 with the crystal studs are pretty nice! I was going to say it's a little too much bling, but the style kind of evens itself out. Lovely shoes. The yellow shoes from the same post are also lovely. I'm not too keen on yellow shoes, but that's an exception I'd make.

Those flats seem to work with a lot of outfits. I'd think of semi-formal clothing with those crystal-studded flats (or a cute casual outfit). I'll admit that yellow flats and such are playful and purely Summer. I've kind of been stuck to skinny jeans with these ballet flats. Either those or very slim jeans. Very cute shoes.

Got these gold lanvins with black ribbons for a very good price in HK:blush:
