It was always heels, heels and more heels for me but I am so obsessed with flats right now. I've bought 3 pairs this season. But I've promised myself I would only get one more pair and I'm torn between the silver or green satin Lanvins. Sorry for more talk on the Lanvins but I would really like one of these pairs. I think I could get more use out of the silver but I would worry about keeping them clean and the green is just so lovely! Does anyone own a pair in satin? Are they hard to keep clean? Thanks for any opinions!

I own the satins in the salmon color and yes they are hard to keep clean, but if you can find a pair of silver lanvin satin, I would grab them up

oh. my. god.

so i was looking for a new pair of plain black platform heels and decided to give nordstrom.com, which i never visit, a try...

what do i see but a flat that looks exactly like the lanvin flat. i mean i searched high and low for flats similar to the lanvins before as they are impossible to get in black...to no avail. but here are some for $64.95!!!

These flats are so comfortable and cheap. The gold is absolutely adorable. Such a fabulous deal!

evelle - those look good to me, that is the new lanvin box for winter. but check stores first before you pay too much on ebay. a lot of stores are carrying lanvin and they are not 100% sold out.

whitelinen and ojodeazul19- those aren't chocolate - they are black patent. the choc. patent is a different leather, not as shiny as the black and navy patents for winter. the choc. was not winter and had a different inside label and the old black box.
they def. do look a bit like choc. color in the pic though - perhaps the lighting?

I just got a pair of the choc. from Barney's about a month ago and they came with the winter label and the new blue box with a ribbon...

There are probably both patent black and chocolate for winter, I have noticed that all of that ebay seller's pictures are off in colour, which should explain why they appear brown-ish. The ribbon on the box should also be black but it looks brown in the photos. The patent black is so pretty...must...resist...

ojodeazul19 - sorry - my bad, i didn't realize barneys got in choc. patent for winter too. i have the fall choc. and winter black, (both from barneys) and they aren't the same leather.

Yeah, I think that the ribbon is a really strange color. I looked at mine last night and realized that it is almost a black/brown..
