Ballet flats

Nooooooooooooo, no, no, no. IMO, the luvmyflats are awful! I would give the Shelbi's a try though. I was definitely only talking about the Shelbi's.

I looked at the Shelibi's in patent faux leather and I thought they were aweful as well - they feel incredibly stiff and unpleasant. Its a shame. The gold ones might work though b/c they are actually leather, unlike the other colors. I didn't like the luvmyflats- no support and the leather was too thin IMO.

I tried on the Lanvin flats recently and they didn't have any colors I wanted but they were lovely - really an amazing difference in look and feel. Too bad Nine West used such thin leather!

the luvmyflats do have a very thin leather, my Aunt commented on it the other day when I was wearing them, but I think that for the money they work.

I tried on the luvmyflats and found that the elastic at the back was so tight that it hurt my feet and left a red indentation after I took them off! The SA said they would stretch but somehow I don't believe that anything that uncomfortable could ever become comfortable. I wonder why nobody else here seems to have that problem with them.

I wear a size 5 and the size 5 luvmyflats fit my feet but did the indentation thing, I went a size up and had no problems, usally my feet fall out of anything over a size 5.5 but these managed to stay on. And they are quite comfortable to wear after the first wear. I would suggest going up a size.

I blogged about the Shelbi's (I was excited about them having seen them only in photos--not in person) and someone commented saying that in person they are in fact extremely cheap looking and that they run small. So...nevermind!

I too have tried on actual Lanvin flats and they were also not in the color I wanted (they were in that dark gold color...I don't know if it works with any skin tone...but it certainly doesn't work with mine). It's too bad, though, because they are incredibly comfortable.

I suppose there's just substitute for the real thing in this case.

kk, makes sense.

FG, you may want to look up a size. I actually find the luvmyflat sometime more comfortable than my Lanvin and I have 5 pairs of lanvins

Whoa...that's interesting. I just got two pairs of Lanvins but it's getting cold here now (icy feet!) so I probably won't wear them till the spring. I was considering picking up a pair of luvmyflats in pink so I'm not tempted to splurge on more Lanvins. ;)

I'll still have to think about it though, I really love the Lanvins. :)

I love love love my Lanvins, they are beautiful and comfortable, but you know what when winter comes, I get upset if I ruin them or even where them out too much. So a comfortable cheap pair works for me:)

True dat. I'd never want to wear mine in bad weather.

What colours are your Lanvins? I got black and light gold leather (both from this summer). I am so tempted to buy more colours.

I have the salmon satin, red patent, black leather, brown patent.

I am SO SO SO jealous of the gold. I searched everywhere for them and couldn't find them!

I had to get mine off ebay, unfortunately, but I was pretty sure I'd never find them anywhere else and I really wanted them (I was seriously obsessed :P). There's a size 36 on there right now, they seem to pop up occasionally if you keep an eye out for them.

I am still so jealous. My girl at barney's couldn't even get them for me. I was so dissapointed.

No, I have never heard of Madison Style. They obviously wouldn't have them anymore:(

What is Madison Style?

Lanvin flats owners - are you getting zipsoles or some other protective covering for bottoms of your shoes? I didn't for my first pairs & they've held up very well despite being worn tons, but I'm wondering if I should for the new pair I just received.
