Bally S/S 2023 Milan

it needed editing or a better stylist? some strong looks but also some incoherency.
I did enjoy a certain fierceness that was unfolding throughout the collection…

When they hired him, they told him he was going to work for Bally...but it seems he understood "trashy".

Does anyone else get the feeling that the majority of collections this season are starting to blend into one?

This is alright, not what I expect at all from Bally but it'll be interesting to see how this image translates in advertising/campaigns and PR.

I understand what he wanted to do and I get the vision behind this revamp…But he is not hitting the jackpot this time.
The kind of very opulent, 70’s inspired a bit American Gigolo meets Tom Ford energy is a good idea to put Bally back on the map but you needs to leave the trashiness of those dresses behind if you want to make a good impact.
Trashiness without the humor is not fun. Here, it’s very « premier degré ».

There’s something very odd about the styling of this collection. I don’t know what Cortina did but it’s very unbalanced. That being said, the bags and shoes are perfect, timeless and sexy. The new logo is good and I’m excited to see the campaign and how everything will develop.

The pink dress and the loose pants and shirts ensemble are really great!

The Gucci by TF playbook (even down to him taking his bow in a suit) is not really well executed and there’s a clear issue of inconsistency…an example: the suede looks signal to a very understated and sensual direction and the metallic ones to a very brash and trashy one. Which is the right one?

The paneled shorts for men are just hideous.
