These past few years, Balmain has redefined the image of its prêt-à-porter line to become one of the most influential fashion brands and a genuine style reference. The brand is present in the main international markets and is sold in the most prestigious doors. In 2011, Olivier Rousteing was appointed Artistic Director of the BALMAIN collections for men and women. The eyewear line for both men and women will reflect the DNA brand. The worldwide launching of this new collection will take place at the International Optics show (MIDO) in Milan in 2012. Mr Alain Chaumet, President of the TWC-L'AMY Group, is delighted by this partnership, which is part of the Group’s growth strategy. “We are very proud to have been chosen by BALMAIN, whose international reputation fits perfectly with our aim to develop luxury accessories and to expand our brand portfolio”. The L’AMY Group is the largest eyewear company in France, and was established in 1810 in the mountain region of the French Jura’s. Under international license the L’AMY group develops frames for brands such as CHLOE, KENZO, NINA RICCI, SONIA RYKIEL, and ROCHAS, as well as its own brand L’AMY Lunettes. Since the takeover in 2010 by Groupe TWC , a leading company in fashion accessories, the TWC-L'AMY Group has doubled its distribution capacity: the L’AMY Group’s existing subsidiaries in France, Italy, US and Australia are joined by the TWC subsidiaries that are based in Germany, the Middle East and South East Asia where TWC has developed a firm presence

I like how natural and 'real' this image looks. Especially compared to all the over-photoshopped fashion images out there. At the same time, this almost looks too normal or something.
 
^That is true....but the image is a bore, nonetheless.
 
It doesn't look like an ad campaign, just a promotional image of the new product.
 
I would say that the picture needs just a little something else to make it pop, or a bit more memorable. My attention is actually directed more to the reflection of the soft boxes in the eyewear, than the eyewear itself.
 
Hmmmm, too real and blasé for my taste.
 
Looks like an outtake from the Pre-Fall lookbook Kasia did for Balmain (it probably is?). I agree that the image is not strong enough to be a campaign but it does look nice, I love Kasia's face.
 
is it even a campaign? it doesn't say so anywhere in the text. it's probably just an image accompanying the press release..
 
It doesnt look like a campaign to me either, it was like a shot from pre-fall collection.
