the heel on the jeffrey campbell shoes is lower than the heel on the bebe version. the shoe is VERY comfortable.

The Bebe ones went fast. I do not think they had the thong but maybe they did. They had the Gucci knockoffs I tink it was the Guccies (sp?) and they went in about 2 days.

bergdorf goodman in ny still has the real balmains available if anyone's looking for them. i guess it's sold-out everywhere else? personally i'm already over this shoe and summer '09 hasn't even formally arrived yet......and to think i had caught on to the balmain hype and actually preordered a pair from luisa via roma months ago (then canceled!!....best decision ever). last time i was at bergdorfs the sales associates and one of the customers trying on the balmains all were talking about how overly trendy and cheap-looking the shoes were.

they look mor elike the steve madden banglez rather than balmain knockoffs. i saw them on gojane.com a while ago too but i t thought the square toe was weird looking

The best knockoffs are the ones at Zara, in my opinion.

Karma for you PrincessImp!! I just ordered the Bakers version (called Derek). I got the 2nd to last pair in my size. I have a fantastic cobbler and I'm going to ask him to add more crystals to the ankel strap.

daniellat: Oops! You're right, I meant another sandal that looks just like the Steve Madden. I don't think the toe looks at all weird in the multiple pics I've seen of them on the models. I can't wait to get mine!

IMO, the JC version doesn't look very close. It's got a very diff shape to it. I don't care for the SM ones at all. I don't think the Zara are nearly as good as the bebe though. What I like about the Bakers is the metal is silver, not gold. I think it sets the crystals off perfectly!

daniellat: I agree. I think bebe is the closest and did the best in keeping the shape and dimensions spot on. The ones from Bakers have a 4 1/2 inch heel vs 5 on the auth, but I think I'll be ok with that. 4 1/2 is plenty. I'm fairly tall to start with. Anyway, I can't believe the Zaras went for $900!! Someone smart got rich off those!! I just don't understand paying $900 for KOs when the auth is $1500!?!?

I have both the BeBe version and the Bakers version.. Bakers version wills HANDS DOWN!! The gold studs in the BeBe version were A major minus for me I actually had plans on replacing them BUT thank god I snagged a pair of the Bakers verions and I only paid $90 for them because they are on sale!
