Christophe deserves all the success coming to him. A very seasoned hand and poetic en plus. Let's hope those men in suits leave him be for a while. Fantastic!

This was a very strong collection, but some of the pieces didn't really fit. The ripped shirts and baggy pants looked very odd beside all the short, slender skirts. I love the "angel" dress and the sleeves on sascha's dress.

finally!
bought the collection with some pieces for myself...and i must say it is even more gorgeous in person..(hopefully pics soon)

prices are accordingly high..

what are the price points like leyla?

leyla, they are gorgeous, with a middle-eastern flair, yes? the top also looks like it is from the same collection, is it hand-beaded?

I actually happen to find this collection very uninspired and try-hard. All of the shredded t-shirts look forced and like some very easy stylist-tricks to give this collection a bit of an edge. I also don't see how these baggy sarong pants would fit into the same collection with all these short cocktail numbers. The blazers are a complete catastrophe, full stop. party dresses seem to be what they do best, but that's a really small niche to fill, probably doesn't make a proper business.

I think this designer needs a little bit of a focus on what he wants to deliver and what a new Balmain identity would be like. So far, it just looks like they try to infuse a little bit of hipness into something that will end up looking old and frumpy once it is due to hit the salesfloor.

* I don't really know what Balmain is:ninja: , but I saw Snejana Onopka opened, so I deemed it important^_^
