It's a ? collection. It's a 50/50 feeling. Some jackets are awesome some are crap. Same with the dresses. And if that leather top makes Daria look that bad imagine how bad it will look on someone else. I don't like it being compared to Gianni Versace's work.

Also Decarnin looks like he's in desperate need of a shower and maybe a cup of tea.

Why must this argument always be used? Taste is subjective. We all see and understand beauty differently. If we all loved it, what a boring forum this would be...

That wasn't what I meant, I meant why is there such extreme negativity. Opinions are what makes discussion interesting, I just don't see how the collections warrants the "OMFG so tacky eww" comments.

I'm definitely not liking it. I'm a huge Balmain fan, but the collections are getting so repetitive. I like some individual pieces and I love, love, love, the first dress Freja is wearing. That's it.

I think that's a pretty lousy call to blame this stagnant collection on bloggers. Lazy editorial stylists are at fault for shamelessly chucking a sharp-shouldered balmain jacket on every model in every magazine. Safe to say a large number of us "bloggers, Tweeters and cyberspace image makers" (with apparently inferior taste) have been over Balmainia for quite some time now.

even though i didn't have much expection for Balmain, i still feel it is worse than my expection.
what a disappiontment. Balmain used to be something suprising,exciting, leading the fashion trend. but now it is so trashy and repetitive.

Well it's very Balmain
It seems more and more designers are just resting on okay. They have one in your face amazing collection and they try and play it out until it just becomes absolutely boring.

Honestly I think only Chanel can pull that off!

but in any case I do love the leather jackets and the detailing is nice, hope fw will be much more exciting!

OK well if you look past the walking sex looks and the gold lame-its fairly interesting. But it is hard to see past the SEX! IN YOUR FACE! looks.

I don't mind clothes with holes in them, but I don't like these kinds. Like, they were intentionally and conspicuously cut-out just to look edgy or whatever. Same with the pants. He doesn't do the torn-up stuff as good as Margiela or others. The jackets, for what they cost, ought to be a little less Liberace...

Buttttt, some really nice pieces are def in there. The non-shiny, non-hole-y leather stuff is great.
