Many have wondered about this. I personally think her contract with L'Oreal interfered (she signed on to be a face of L'Oreal right after she started working more with VS). I think she probably had to choose between the two because either one would have been too restrictive to allow for the other. Now, her L'Oreal contract just ended, and she's working with VS again.

Many others, however, think that VS cut her because they thought she wasn't thin enough or was too much of a party girl, especially after the Justin Bieber rumors following VSFS 2012.

We may never know what happened, but I sure am curious. As you said, VS had been acting like she was their new star, and then all of a sudden, she was just gone and never worked with them again-- that is, until now, when her L'Oreal contract has ended.

If that was the case than Doutzen & Karlie should have done the same as well. And those two even had Angel Contracts. Isabeli & Bianca were also shooting for VS while being contracted to L'Oreal. And these days Alexina who is also contracted by L'Oreal is also a regular model for VS. Not going into details in this thread but apparantly there were some personal problems.

Yeah, I know, but Doutzen had already done a lot of work for VS before she became one of the main girls for L'Oreal or an Angel. She was a big name already with the public, so I think VS would have been nicer to her about the contract and given her more freedom. Karlie obviously was already supermodel-level when she joined VS, so I think they would have given her more freedom, as well. Barbara, meanwhile, was a newbie to the commercial fashion industry and the public didn't know her. I wonder if Barbara's team requested more money or more freedom in her contract than VS was willing to give.

Isabeli and Bianca were never huge names for L'Oreal or VS IMO. They did a lot of work for both, but weren't Angels or L'Oreal's main girls either.

I do agree with you that it seemed like Barbara's departure from VS involved more than just the L'Oreal contract, however. She seemed to have some drama with VS since they literally never used her again after she was on the cover of the 2012-13 holiday catalog and was profiled in that VS video where Ed saying she had the type of face that only came around once every 10 years or something. After the cover and video, VS totally stopped using her.

At one point a few years ago, Ed made a comment about a model they let go because she didn't work out like Adriana, Doutzen, etc. and was always posting party pictures. Many speculated this was about Barbara. Clearly, Barbara also had a very different body type and general look from those of the 2012-14 VS models, who were very thin and boring looking (IMO). Taylor Hill was the only quality model they signed during that time IMO - the rest just seemed like the only ones willing to take the (much cheaper than previous years) restrictive Angel contract.

Lastly, of course, there was the Bieber thing. VS ultimately chooses models who appeal to women - not necessarily to men - so the fact that Babs was coming off as someone who stole another woman's man and was kind of a party girl I'm sure wasn't the vibe they were going for.

Dylan and Barbara together should be illegal, they're both so good-looking and then you put them together and you're just completely speechless really. Anyway, I really like the last couple of looks, and you still can't go wrong wearing a simple black skirt & a white shirt, I mean obviously the style of the white shirt isn't your regular white shirt, but you get the gist.
