Classic Max Azria. His color combinations are always on point. While I am sometimes not a fan of his silhouettes, this season he did a great job.

looks like typical bcbg so far...
maybe a little balenciaga-inspired with the geometry but still definitely in line with the bcbg aesthetic

As other posters have already said, the loose-fitting drape appears to be the BCBG Max Azria trademark, though I find this beautiful, I find it equates to decievingly easily made clothes in nice fabrics, which of course is perfect for the price-range we are talking about for BCBGMA.

that's different than usual bcbg. balenciaga vibe a bit, that's cool !

The colourpalette for this collection is gorgeous and I love how flowy all the pieces are. It looked very nice in movement.
I agree on the resemblance with Balenciaga, but the BCBG appeal shines through a lot.

I can't decide if I like it or not. It's interesting but something's... missing.

This looked nice in motion because the dresses are so flowy. But as whole and in print I don't like it much. It's a bit Balenciaga, a bit Proenza, some Derek Lam. In boring and cheap fabrics and unflattering shapes.

I pretty much love the collection, it's a fantastic start for Fashion Month! I really adore the colors, especially the neon orange and lime green, they're used so well in the colorblocking trend. Also I'm a huge fan of the cut-out shoulder dresses, they're gonna be a major trend this season!

I'll say I like it, it's very Balenciaga, light fabrics, nice visuals, though it could be a tad bit more fitted.

It's a standard BCBG collection (not bad but not great) which means I really can't say I see the so-called Balenciaga resemblance. To me it feels utterly BCBG, almost to the point of redundancy. The usual shapes and silhouettes bring down the appeal of the wearable art-deco feeling that I get from the first part of the show. I do really enjoy the second section, though. I'm absolutely in love with the prints. They were a fresh idea for the line, which seldom showcases anything but neutrals and extreme color-blocking. I know that, due to the economy, if it sells they'll want to continue to do similar things but I absolutely think it's time to mix it up a bit. Idk, as of late I'm pretty ambivalent about the brand's direction.

Yeah, I don't really see Balenciaga either. It's very BCBG.

I'm kind of torn here. On the one hand, I think these are really pretty, bright, light, fresh pieces that look especially great in motion. On the other hand, I shudder to think what they're going to look like when worn by 'real' women. I don't think they look especially flattering on models, so I can't even imagine them looking anywhere near decent on anyone else.
