BE&D Bags

Anyone familiar with BE&D? They have a really cute hobo, in two sizes, but are really pricey (like almost $1000 for the big, $750 for the small). I can't find a lot of info on them...here is a link from irissinger.com:

Someone I know has the large hobo, it is really nice in person. The leather is good, but I find them to be ridiculously priced for an unknown company. These should be priced from $400-700 in my opinion.

i like this brand, very nice. they have a few diff. styles on bergdorf website. they are overpriced though, sadly.

I don't know if anyone knows these bags.... I have one that I love, but a buyer friend just gave me the inside scoop on their fall collection section for buyers only. The bags for next season are so beautiful... I'm wondering what any of you think of the Ava in Sand or the Crawford in moss. I have a friend who can reserve one for me at the store she buys for. I am dirty blond, so I thought the moss may be better... which bag for me? This is one I really love, but its so expensive I could never afford it. It's made of hand painted gold python. SOOO HOT! Which do you like?

I was told that one is like $2400 or $2500 - but it comes in plain deerskin for around $850.... and is so soft. I saw a sample....but I have to wait till they release teh fall collection in July or August.

actually if you've ever touched on of these bags, they are the softest things you've ever touched and are worth every penny. If someone like Marc Jacobs or another "name brand" made the same bags from teh same luxurious materials, like Norwegian deerskin, French Lamb and washed python from southeast asia, they would be double the price! check out their site.. www.beandd.com ; username: fall05 ; password: garbo .

Bottega Veneta has some deerskin bags, which I found the be softer and a lot nicer than the leather on the Be & D bags - and they are not much more expensive than the Be & D bags. I have to agree with MJ. They are cute, but overpriced.

However, if you really, really love the style and have the money, they are beautifully made bags.

I think the Be & D bags look like something my future kids would find in an attic sometime during thier teen years, and be embarrassed that i actually wore such a ridiculous thing! I just went into Intermix in NYC yesterday to look at them.. they are just silly and wayyyyy too expensive...

i think theyre cute, I was almost going to buy one, then I thought it would be stupid. The top doesnt even close, like in the picture anyway. The price is horrendous.
