... As for Behnaz Sarafpour, she's giving her customers plenty of reason to party — with festive dresses and suits that can go from a holiday office celebration to a New Year's Eve bash. There were touches of lace and ribbons, and a charming take on the tuxedo. Key pieces included a yellow lace tiered frock, stiff little jackets and a sweet dot-embroidered dress.

Last dress for me only ... without the awkward restraining finish around the legs that is...

I like the shoes- basic Manolos i guess-

but not impressed with the clothes at all

the last one reminds me one dress by Chanel... but nothing special.

behnaz is always classic almost to the point of boring...
but apparently the cut and fit is SUPERB...
and that is really nothing to scoff at...
just wish the designs were more interesting...

:ermm:...

we'll see how the next project she's involved in works out...:innocent:...
should be interesting though i bet it's a bunch of basics...
definitely a 'little blk dress'...

She's coming out with her own shoe line now, so they might be her own ...

I met Behnaz a few weeks ago in her studio here in NYC. I was supposed to intern for her, and even though they offered me the position, I turned her down. She was boring, cold, and drab. Her studio was the same, as were the pieces for upcoming collections that they had lying around. One word: blah.

liberty- thumbs down is not usually considered a compliment......

I guess you'll be satisifed with my possible job this summer: Selling popcorn to and with homophobic fifteen year olds. I don't ignore a bag of silver coins because I'm waiting for gold.

And the pieces have no form/silhouette. Durn :(.

the silhouettes are very odd, designs are pretty plain. I used to like her when she first came out and there was a ton of buzz around her, some of her stuff was actually interesting to the eye then.

now i can comment on this after seeing the main collection!
it was okay, nothing more.
bought into the yellow tunic/top/dress which is quite fun
