Bernhard Willhelm F/W 07.08 Look-Book

it's amazing - i'm loving it! Crazy - sexy - cool

can't wait to see fashion people on the streets with them masks.

i'm joking obviously.

laika, you are so right about him selling out! i was speaking with Joseph Quantaro by e-mail who's head buyer at Seven, and he told me that Bernhard sells out very, very quickly there! thankfully, they had one thing for me to order there this time

Exactly what I'm talking about! I just barely managed to get the dress I wanted--they sold out in a week! I'm so glad you were able to order something. Joseph seems like a very nice guy. ^_^

VBS also carries a pretty decent women's selection and they are completely sold out of everything already. I do wonder who is buying all this stuff--where are all these people wearing Bernhard Willhelm, because I don't see them around on the streets very much!

^he's a gem,indeed!

i'd like to know that as well. i tried getting those boot-style trainers from last season that were on sale, and they were all gone when i checked. maybe they're all underground and only come up at certain times like forest creatures

i am not afraid of theatrics...
hell...
i love comme and yohji and lord knows their presentations are anything but mainstream...

but i just think that the presentations should enhance rather than distract...
i feel like this is the latter...
though i can see past it to the clothes...

i would prefer not too have to wade through it to get there...is all..
the clothes are good...why obscure them?

:p

keep a lookout for a new webstore this fall with the women's collection, including shoes!

Hey Scott,
do you know what was the inspiration behind the collection.
did he take a trip to Jamaica? I can see a ton of Jamaican references in this.
from ther colours of the jamaican Flag , to the national costume (plaids and headwraps, to the biege (sand on a beach?) the check (plaid) is a variation on the plaid of the Jamaica national costume................. and most notably weep spliffs..........

in terms of inspiration (am i'm just guessing) it could be the fashion for young people in tokyo to wear marijuana leaf print clothes (despite probably having never touched the stuff). it's something i noticed was pretty popular while i was there. i think this collection will sell truck loads in japan.

^well he does very well in Japan in any case,so this should neither be a fault nor a better for him....they just adore his clothes there....it's got that humour and exuberance for life most seem to connect with there.

actually scott, i still now places where they have those boots.
I do think prices went up a lot since he's making his clothes in Japan.
