BEST looking outfit you've seen on the streets (on you or a stranger)??

Okay, so there's a fashion victim thread and we know everything that's WRONG for you to wear. My question is, what constitutes as an excellent outfit? What outfit have you seen on someone and absolutely wished that you had thought of it first, or that made her look incredibly pulled together and "gorgeous"? Please post the BEST outfit you've seen (could be yours as well) recently.

mine was this girl who had the first balenciaga I've seen in Finland. Can't really remember what else she wore. gold flats maybe.

great thread. I'll be back with better replies

I'm sure that I have a better answer than this, but seeing as I don't get exposed to good street fashion much, I'll just mention this woman I was rather impressed with today (for my area). She had on this navy blue silk blouse with cream and salmon colored polka dots that didn't look near as vulgar as it might sound, charcoal gray tulip-hem skirt, round toe heels that were like burnt sienna brown, and for the love of god I can't remember what her bag looked like because I was so in awe of the fact that I actually saw someone in my town wearing an outfit I was jealous of.

It's amazing to find anyone looking decent on the streets here (Kiev. Same problem in Moscow, too, though.) But a few days ago, I saw a girl wearing a very 'me' outfit. She had a truly ace jacket with a massive skull on the back, was wearing skinny black jeans, she had these amazing metallic shoes..yeah, she looked fabbity. I couldn't help turning round as she passed. I'm really quite a fan of street fashion, especially when I'm in London. Lots of yummy outfits (not counting the Sienna/Kate "clones").

i have just returned from a few days in london and was quite surprised at how i didnt see very many inspired outfits, i love going down to london shopping because usually the girls street styles are and inspiration in themselves, it was mostly flats/flip flops, dark wash skinny jeans and plain white vests!!

BUT, I bought a gorgeous necklace from a girl in portobello market, she looked so cool, probably the best dressed i saw, she had khaki short shorts on, which were quite loose fitting, a long loose white vest with another over the top, a really long gold chain with a big tusk and assorted vintage charms like the one i bought off her. a pink cardie, black suede ballet flats with huge bows on, a trilby, and a black and white alexander mcqueen skull scarf round her neck, and she was carrying a brown balenciaga. looked great!

Black turtleneck jumper... burrberry mini skirt... black large chanel classic bag... black knee high boots... black dior celeb sunnies...

Not the BEST looking outfit on the street, but definitely the most memorable that I can think of at the moment.

I saw this on some woman a few days ago...Fitted blue jeans & heels w/ black blazer & black bag, both from Gucci, but the t-shirt she wore under the blazer w/ obviously imitation Gucci (white tee w/ the green & red logo emblazoned across the chest, a la 80's hip-hop style), and HUGE bangle earrings. I thought, "Hmmm, mixing the fake w/ the real?!? NIIICE!!!" :flower:

Most [qualifier here] item / ensemble you've seen *in real life* today / recently

Just wondering what is the nicest, most interesting, eclectic [or whatever other qualifier you like - bad or good!] item or ensemble you've seen recenlty. Big catch: just for fun, it must be in real life.

A beautiful girl at the airport covered in earthly colors.... A very boho dress + a bohoish headband. She was at least 6'0 I suspect shes a model

Last winter, I saw this woman at Penn Station, she had black cigarette pants, black patent leather oxfords and this huge, black, pleated.. circular coat, I can't describe it but it was just stunning  .. her outfit was so simple but the proportions were absolutely perfect.. I tried not to stare but I did and she noticed, and even smiled at me! I felt so silly.:ninja:
She must've been in her late 30s, very tall and blonde, and now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if it was none other than Tiina Laakkonnen, but that would've been too good to be true. -_-

The only downside of her outfit was that it was starting to snow outside and the idea of wearing oxfords.. with no socks, seemed a little nuts to me.

When I was sixteen I was on a flight overseas and I saw a girl dressed all in Rick Owens - soft beautiful draping clothes. I had no idea clothing could even look like that, and I fell in love.

Maybe she'd come from someplace even colder, so she wasn't feeling it ...

I did see someone dressed well recently ... now to remember the details :innocent:

This thread doesn't really work without pics, or maybe I don't have a very good imagination

I always seem to forget amazing outfits. At the time I think "Wow", but when I try to remember what they looked like, I can't. I saw this guy at work today who was (and always is) well dressed. He is definitely 1940s inspirated (or is and doesn't realise  ) and always looks really well put together and smart

A 20 year old guy dressed like Karl Lagerfeld fingerless gloves high collar and all and it was about 85 degrees out :lol::lol: walking down michigan avenue maybe not the best look ever but the most memorable.

Yeah I think it's why the thread died out on it's first iteration. Unless we get into the youtube candid pix [not a recommendation!] it's pretty much left to descriptions.

But, I did see a great outfit on the street today at lunch. A woman, mid 30's, wearing a dark "Parisienne" beret with black, 3/4 length jacket made of a very lightweigt material, and stylish black leather pants with a seam that ran up the middle of the legs rather than the sides and which were a great fit - not loose and not overly tight. I can't recall the footwear. She wasn't an especially great looking woman, but her outfit looked superb; she was getting lots of approving looks.

I always thought these 'best' threads were unpopular for two reasons ... one, there are more geese than swans, and two, some people enjoy being negative more than being positive :ninja: :innocent: You'll notice that 'worst' threads tend to get a lot of play, and there aren't any pictures there either ...
