Beyonce

IMO this is her best work to date.

Great lyrics, great beat, everything flows nicely and everything makes sense yet no track are alike. There is a real and complete story here.

Flawless (ex bow down b*tches) is one of my favourite track now that it has been given more depth (with the intro ad ending but above all with that snippet of Chimamanda TED talk).

The videos are.. Omg.. Gorgeous.. And the artwork awesome. I can't wait to have it in my hands, iTunes is not enough.

I am so so happy she did not listen to anyone and actually put the album out when she was ready and absolutely out of the blue !

This woman is everything and the definition of superwoman. She managed to do so much in 2013 from the Super Bowl to the documentary, the world tour, the animated movie, this epic album and 17 videos recorded all over the world..

When does she sleep?

Oh and is anyone else actually very surprised at how raw and edgy this album is? Partition lyrics (the French part at least) are quite out there. Not sure I would like to hear a 7 years old sing that

did her publicist pay dailymail money to advertise her album? there are ten articles about her today. that's totally insane!

i'm listening to it right now and loving it. She is so gangster to release it last night only online to slow the chances of piracy. I'm so glad she's doing this in her own way, the music is definitely a bit more edgy for her than normal and I love it!

There are tons of articles about her today because her new album dropped out of nowhere. Her team doesn't have to pay anyone anything. Mrs. Carter knows how to werk.

I am just gobsmacked by everything on this album, it's amazing. And I have to hand it to Beyonce, that she was able to be so in-control of the videos, the songs, and even the release date. She has a great team around her and the whole album is a total tour de force, I can't stop listening to the songs and watching the videos. From my initial listenings it feels more intimate and also socially aware then some of Beyonce's other songs and albums (which while I totally love them I really admire her for these new raw songs). And the music videos themselves, WOW, they are total works of art.

Right now I'm really loving her song Flawless, especially because she samples one of the great writers of our time, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's, TED talk on feminism. It is these words that give the song more depth and makes it a powerful track. Also, the fact that Beyonce clearly mentions feminism on her record is amazing, I love the fact that people around the world (especially young women) will be listening to this record and specifically to this song and hear that it's okay to be a feminist.

I also really love the music video for Mine, it's just beautiful to watch and the dancing and vibe of the video is spot on. Another song on the album that I find to be incredibly powerful is Pretty Hurt, the music video and the lyrics combined speak volumes about the pressures that women feel to be gorgeous. It's a really well done video, although it could be considered triggering for some people who have issues with self harm and whatnot. Oh, and I really liked the video that accompanies the song Superpower, the message it sends is quite powerful. And I like that Beyonce is tackling different issues in her songs and videos it's neat to see. Overall, I'm just really in love with this whole record and it's going to be played a lot in my household over the next few days/weeks/months.

I've only had time to listen to the songs but the only song I wasn't keen on was No Angel but I love the rest of the songs. Blow is so much fun and Flawless is flawless. I could actually go on all day about all the songs because each song, apart from No Angel, is exceptional.

There are no words. I woke up this morning and haven't accomplished half the things I had planned. It's crazy how the whole year people have been upset that she had all this promotion (the super bowl, pepsi ads, world tour) but never put an album out and then all of a sudden we get this. No promo, announcements..nothing.

She's a genius though because the album dropping unexpectedly is the only promo it needs. It sold like 80k on itunes in 3 hours!

Beyonce debuts her brand new song “XO” live for the first time during her The Mrs. Carter World Tour concert at the United Center on Friday (December 13) in Chicago, Ill.

apparently its estimated to sell u to 600 000!
who knows all the models in her videos

Oh wow, i cannot waite to get my hands on this album.
Too bad it is not in Spotify yet.

i think all musicians should follow this only because albums cant leak if no one knows when it is suppose to be released and it actually gets the people to buy it. I think her marketing team was great for doing that.

On top of that (and im no where near calling myself a fan) her album is a complete album all the way through and is actually good.

Beyonce's always been sexy but she seems so in control of her sexuality right now and this makes her even sexier.

Drunk in Love is in my top 3.
