i saw beyonce's line on the oprah show the other day and it was alrite it was nothing special but to me the prices are in the high 100's for jeans and such i mean its alrite but i dont think she should charge that much and take more of a "jLo" approach to it since i would assume a majority of her fans are younger some of the younger girls can afford $100 jeans yet

I think her line looks better than babyphat '05 spring collection last year, which was absolutely Horrid:sick: It was total garbage! But hey, I feel like if Keenan Duffty can release a rag-tag-homeless-bum inspired collection and consider himself a "designer", hell anybody can put anything out there, including Beyonce. But, hey the beauty of it is -- you don't have to buy B-Wear, you don't even have to acknowledge it, me personally I plan to do the latter.;)

oh this is even more awful than i had expected....
gross...!!!!!....

and even the name....
'house of dereon'....
so false and pretentious....
full of hot air....

:yuk:

Aww...how sweet Beyonce giving her ex band members a job after Destiny's Child:D

The dress on kelly rowland looks like it has been lifted from Gaultier SS05 gypsy themed collection.

The most shocking thing when Tina Knowles was commenting on a detailed denim skirt and she was like " you can easily wear more than one belt with this outfit"

The name of the line comes from Beyonce's grandmother's name.

This is correct.

Also I need to corrupt this thread for a moment. Let me set the record straight on Beyonce's background. Before her father took her to height of stardom. Beyonce's father, Matthew Knowles was an executive at Xerox in medical sales, selling multi-million dollar pieces of equipment and making six figures. “I was blessed to be the number one sales rep in the medical division of Xerox for years,” he says. Matthew is Beyonce’s manager, the one who negotiated everything from her initial record deals with Elektra and Columbia to her recent endorsement deals with L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger, and executive produced all of her albums.

Her mother was from New Orlean of Creole birth and they live a very comfortable upper middle class lifestyle. Hr mother owned her own Hair Salon/Spa. that catered to the professional woman in Houston like judges and attorneys. They live in a 6 bedroom house and were never, ever from the ghetto (so ill-advised person mention this in another thread). Her mother has always had a desire to create and design, hence her venture with this clothing line. She might not be a design student but she has every right to launch her own apparel line and start a career in fashion with her daughter if that is her desire. If you don't like the clothes, don't buy it. I'm sure they will find a "market" for their line and do just fine!

Thier market will be called Marshall's Blue Light Sale. She does have a right to launch her own line and we have a right to tear it to pieces...

One thing about the clothes that isn't in most celebrity lines is the strong pathos behind them. While I don't like them at all and don't consider Tina Knowles have much talent I think I like this more than Sweetface and even Gwen Stefani. Tina Knowles has long been the costumier for Destiny's Child and Beyonce, the fashion line idea wasn't pulled out of her ***. I also don't think they are trying to pass this off as high fashion (like sweetface or Lamb). I think they earnestly want to make clothes they like and that is designed with more curvacious bodies in mind. While I would never seriously reccomend someone I know to buy and wear it, I wouldn't mind seeing them succeed. They just need to realize they AREN'T in Paris, or even New York for that matter.

You're certainly free to waste your time talking about something you can't control, she'll be none less the richer because of it. I however found it counterproductive. But if mean-spirited, envious, wish-you-were-in-place, just-hating-that-you-don't-have-connections is your cereal of choice, eat away hon. I'll leave you to your own wasteful devices. Cheers.

I don't know if these have been posted before. I found them on another board. I believe they came from Oprah's site.

I saw that episode on oprah. The gowns are pretty, but I wouldn't wear the other clothes. I think it's Beyonce's mom who is designing the line.

The first gown is gorgeous, but all the other clothes are boring and predicatable.
