i like it, and i especially like the look of the jewelery this season, but i can just see this being adopted very badly by the general public. like boho jewelery when that look was big. just overdone

The problem with this look is that it will be copied into hidious cheap looking garbage.

very true.... but for some of us on a budget, it's the only option.....

i think some jewellry are ok to make by ourselves, like the marni bracelets, i am pretty sure with a bit of time, it would be re-creatable.

That Byblos bubble necklace looks adorable on the runway, but imagining it to be worn in public...

Wow I really love that necklace, reminds me of bubbles. At first I wasn't too keen on the oversized jewels but I've warmed up to it. I love the large chunky jewels Marc Jacobs did. DIY project screaming to happen I think. There is an aura of tackyness about the jewels but it ends up actually looking pretty however I find the tackyness is actually part of the appeal in an item.

Im thinking this isnt linked in anyways but just an observation ive made .. you know how a few years ago everyone was getting star tattoos ... well the tatt of this year seems to be jewls and gems and diamonds tattooed onto you ... like big cartoony'esqe gems. Its a huge huge huge street trend in the uk right now.

if it is a trend in the uk... i asume it will be one in spain too... not a fan of tatoo... so i'm not really liking the idea
thanks for the trend-spotting tiamaria!

We've had big necklaces, like of pearls and wood and other things, as a trend here too--I feel it's best if it's only one piece or if the pieces are very subtle. Too many giant ones look too :ninja: words can't describe

As long as you keep it to only one piece, i love the look! But, i just can't manage to actually like the whole "chunky bangles piled upon your arm" when you wear like 15 of them on each arm together with a shortsleeved tee or something.. I just don't like it and prefer 2-3 bangles on one hand and 1-2 on the other.

I absolutely loved all the Marc Jacobs gems that he stuck on headbands and that shopper bag. Freedom by Topshop I believe have a cheaper version of the MJ headband.......hmmmmmm

Love this trend. But know I only like it right now. It's one of those things that I will get tired of after a while.
