Billy Corgan

i think this would be more appropriate in art of noise :flower:

ive heard some of the new stuff.....im not really into it. i saw the smashing pumpkins a few times in the 90's, never was a huge fan, but i remember them being good . i wonder how successfull his solo efforts will be ?

Billy Corgan had a house behind my elementary school, in a very humble area, and he used to visit with the younger kids sometimes.

His debut solo album really grows on me, I remember having mixed feelings about "walking shade" when I heard it the first time but I like it now that I heard it a couple of times... I must say that I haven´t been so farmiliar with Smashing Pumpkins back in the 90ies, I was probably too young to like it, anyway.

He lived in my building for few years. Nice guy but rather odd. Personally he rubbed me wrong after walking out on a large bar tab back when I was working at Crobar.

let's revive this thread..what does everyone think about the direction he is moving with the Smashing Pumpkins these days?

I adored the Smashing pumpkings in my teen years and I always appreciate Billy Corgan. I think he is a nice guy. But, frankly, his music now is so connected to the past. I don't want to be deceived so I decided to ignore what they're currently doing.
But if someone can change my mind here, why not !
