i tried them on and they're SO comfortable yet SO ugly. i'm going to buy a pair tomorrow b/c they're just so damn comfy. there are "cuter" birks nowadays but can't compare to the original arizonas, which is what i'm planning to buy. and plus, comfort > looks any day . how many of you guys wear them proudly?

I absolutely LOVE mine... they are comfortable for everyday use!

Those are the ones I own :

ooooh! those are actually pretty cute, PINKcheeks! are they as comfortable as the original ones?

I haven't tried on the original Arizona, but the ones that I have are very comfortable.

My favorite ones are from the "Gizeh" collection (silver ones). :flower:

i have 3 pair of the boston clogs, and i love them dearly :) so comfy and so adorable with the right outfit!

The clogs got so huge in our school, way bigger than uggs. I've never tried them on so I dont know how comfertable they are, but they are so unbelievably ugly. I've gotten used to uncomfertable shoes, my feet are very wide so theres always straps rubbing and cutting into my feet. People even wore these in winter with 2 feet snow here with socks. The arizonas aern't nearly as bad though, and not so overley popular at least were I live.

Yeah, Birks are amazingly comfortable. I got mine at wilsons leather, and they look a little like these:

I'm trying to find this out-of-production Heidi Klum Birkenstock:

I bought my first (and only) pair of Birks after breaking my little toe. They're great for wearing around the house, especially after your feet have been killed by a particularly heinous pair of pointy-toed heels. But out in public? Naaaah! Especially since they seem to pick up irritating bits of grit very readily...and I can't bear to do the Birks with socks thingy...

Are the clog-styled ones just as comfy? I'm wondering if I should get a pair...

well i have wide feet so the clogs for me are an absolute killer! It generally takes longer to 'break-in' the clog styles. can't live without my arizona and ramesis birks during summer though..

i live in the clogs on the weekends in fall... i have 1 chocolate suede, 1 heathered brown wool, 1 charcoal wool. it does take a bit to break them in (same with any of their shoes), but once they're molded to your feet they're a pleasure.

Thanks, Travis and Crepebacksatin! :flower:

Chocolate suede sounds great.

They are so cute...I saw a girl looking so cozy in them in mid-winter with a long dress and legwarmers pulled down under the heel, so it got me thinking... :)

i hate the idea and image of birkenstocks: the hippie, the indie-rocker, the revolution........!@()*U!

altough, i mean, i guess they're comfy and i can understand why they're so popular. i just will never buy a pair myself.
