Black Hair Inspiration/Appreciation

there are a lot of shampoos for brunettes out there. do these work just as well for people who have brown-black hair? cause all i see is brunette, blonde and red, but never black. (except in China, where people sell shampoos with sesame extract. it's supposed to work too! an uncle of mine said that his head used to be all white already, but ever since he started eating sweet black sesame paste every night, his roots started to grow out black again!)

^I think you can probably wear a lot of different colors. I've read that with light skin-dark hair, even conflicting tones (yellow/pink) in makeup can look really good. And there's also the choice between light and dark makeup. Really, I'd suggest to try anything. It's only when I've dyed my hair jet black that I've found a lot of limitations. Though it probably didn't look right in the first place.

I've been getting an urge to color my hair again. In most indoor lighting it looks black, but under certain light it can look much lighter and brownish. Though it feels a bit wasteful to dye my hair just a pinch of a shade darker, I always feel awesome afterward.

I love black hair...I've colored my hair brown, red, mahogany, and always go back to black. Nothing can go wrong with black hair for me. Its sexy and mysterious. It goes good with pale skin and dark skin. Like Cameron Diaz with black hair and tanned skin. I thought she looked really exotic with dark hair. Oh and Megan Fox, Dita Von Teese, and Eva Green all have inspiring black hair. Keep em coming!

i bleached my hair once upon a time and it looked crap on me. i think my natural black hair is the only best color for me. my hair is pretty black, so im happy. since im asian, i doubt black hair has that exotic quality that caucasion women would have. but it sure is mysterious and sexy and dark which i like though it can seem as a downer

I love love love black hair. Mine is basically black (but really it's dark dark brown like many of you). I tried Black Malva by Aveda a while ago in an attempt to enhance the darkness of my hair, but I don't remember it doing too much for me. I stopped using it because my hair needs a more moisturizing shampoo, but it smelled fantastic! Pantene also makes a shampoo for black hair called "midnight expressions", it's a silvery blue color and I hated it. It's really difficult to rinse out, and even afterwards your hair just feels unwashed and sort of sticky.

My friend started taking MSM a while ago, and noticed that it actually made her hair blacker and shinier. Another natural trick is to use coconut oil. It's very healthy for hair and does make it appear darker (probably due, in part, to the added shine.)

And I agree, there is just something about black hair, regardless of a person's ethnicity or complexion, that just strikes out. It's makes an impression. I love it on both men and women. When I see jet black hair on a man it makes me pause an extra second.

I loove straight black Asian hair. In fact, it's probably my favorite kind of hair. It always inspires me to straighten mine out and try some cool updos.

I'm Asian so I have black brown hair, but I'm always thinking about dying it blue black. When the sun hits my hair looks kinda orange, more brownish, I wish it was darker XD

Here's my black hair...I tried coloring my hair red but its still pretty dark. In the sun its really red though so I kind of like hair my hair changes.
