Blackberry

I'm trying to decide between the bold or the iphone, but I'm finding it a difficult decision.

I think the bold looks so much better and having a keypad is preferable to a touch screen (I have nails, and touch screens are hard to type on) but the internet capabilities of the iphone seem better than a blackberry. At this rate I'll never decide!

hautechild, if u asked me, i would pick bold in no time.
i'm an avid mac user but i just hate touch screen, i even always use mouse with my macbook because i hate my fingers touching other objects too many times LOL
i'm weird in that way

for mobile browsing comparison, please visit the site i found on the net.
they have some nice comparison of internet capabilities on different phones
it seems like they rate bold with B- and iphone with A-

That's very helpful, thanks!

I think that I'm probably going to end up going for style over everything else and get the Bold! :)

congrats on ur choice :p
i think Bold is def. more than a style! i really ove how communication is made easier with BB
what i hate is that now i don't think i can live without my BB LOL

I just got the pearl 8120 and I LOVE it! It's the perfect size for me, my sister got the bold and it seems rather large and a little too manly for my taste!

i have a curve and the buttons on my phone just stopped working. i can see someone call but cant answer, etc. the trackball is the only thing that works (i can only scroll). has anyone else had this problem?

just got my third one and the exact opposite is happening after just having it for one month. The scroll ball fell out and after replacing it, it works fine when scrolling but won't let me select, thus I can't use the phone. I called blackberry and they're charging me an additional 100 bucks to get it fixed.

moral: avoid the curve at all costs

wannabemk, have u tried taking it back to the place where u bought it?
i've been using my curve 8320 for a few months and is very happy :)
i'm thinking to upgrade to bold soon, a friend suggested javelin but somehow i like the bold looks

i have tmobile so all returns/exchanges have to be made thru the 800 number.

DriversHigh, so very sorry to hear the trouble :(
i guess i;m one of the lucky ones, i bought my curve on ebay and no probs with the ball or anything else

wannabemk, hope u can solve the prob real soon, there's nothing more annoying than when u already rely on ur bb then it started having problems

can you download and listen to music on the blackberry curv? i forgot to ask the salesman at verizon yesterday.

i't was a toss up between the iphone and the blackberry and i am for sure getting the blackberry in light pink even if i can't listen to music on it!!!! but i have to wait until next week until i have enough money though.

I also need to choose between a Blackberry or an Iphone. Adore could you tell me why you chose for a Blackberry for sure!?

This happened to my friend the other day - she ended up having the return it for a new one.

LOL, I "upgraded" to the Storm (worldphone gimmickry) and after 2 weeks, "backdowngraded" (is that a word?) to the Curve. Creature of habit... all "cracked" up... lol

Indeed.. but you might want to get additional memory. Verizonwireless does not pack it with extra memory like O2 does in the UK (I have yet to see Verizon's packaged deal come with extra's in all these years.)

well, the major reson was the touch screen that i don;t like on the iphone, it's impossible to text on it in my opinion. the blackberry was much easier for me to text..there wasn't really much else plus i like the light pink color i saw at the mall

i wanted to get the worldphone but the salesman said it was pointless for me to get it since i don't travel around the world..i just like it because it was bigger than the curve another thing. the worldphone dosn't have a camera

I have the Curve 8310 (posting from it now) and I LOVE it!! However, the trackball gets screwy and the camera on it is not amazing.

Anyone have feedback on the Storm? I was going to get it in Spring when I'm eligible for an upgrade. I know it has a great camera.....but idk if I can live without my trackball and keyboard. Its really easy for me to type on the qwerty board.

What is the general consensus on the Storm? Yay or nay? I'm so not techy. I'm into texting, email and of course posting on tfs!!! :)

When you said "I'm into texting, email and of course posting on tfs", from one Crackberry head to another... IMHO, I would suggest you give it a "test drive" and if you are a Verizonwireless customer or even if you're not, go to a nearby Verizonwireless outlet (during a lull hour - say very early right after they open on the weekend.)

If you're still game with the touch screen design... wheel and deal with the salesperson... remember, you also have the BUYERS REMORSE law working for you. Each state or county has its own version...so check that consumer "cooling off period" clause:) Don't take the salesperson's word - read it as printed on the "contract".

:D
