I was just looking at some red carpet pictures of Charlize Theron- Blake could learn a lot from her! She is ridiculously beautiful and sexy, but even when she shows a bunch of skin she looks comfortable and classy....Blake often reminds me of those little girls in the beauty pageants- smiling but looking scared to death and probably thinking 'Why do I have to do this...?"!!

i don't know if she tries desperately to be a sex symbol...i believe that she's stucked into that "bombshell" prototype (because that's how everybody is calling her..from Vogue US,to her character in GG... her casual style is really nice most of the time..but when it comes to events it seems like she is really clueless and there's definitely someone behind her helping with the styling!..sometimes it's a hit,sometimes it's a miss..but it's always "what can we choose to make her look sexy?"..and all that (the dress,the poses she makes- just think of the Lanvin dress and how she kept lifting it...) sometims it's just unnecessary, repetitive and boring.

I don't think she tries hard to be a sex symbol or style icon....she seems to be very confident with her personal style...I usually love what she wears, like everyone else, she has hits and misses and don't think she looks ackward at all!
What's the problem if she likes to wear sexy clothes and a lot of cleavages?she has an amazing body, gorgeous face! let her show that!

And one more thing: I think many people tend to confuse Blake's style with Serena's style....like if it is her to choose Serena's looks!

Actually I'd say she has a fair bit of influence on Serena's looks. Eric Daman mentioned that Blake chose the dress that Serena wore in the episode with Fashion's Night Out, which was also boobtastic. And let's not forget how Taylor Momsen's rock look has spilled over onto Jenny. In my opinion, it's seems as though Eric Daman does take input from the actors.

I found this article with Anna Wintour talking about Blake.

When previewing the cover of the "Vogue's Best Dressed" bookazine, which is out in November and features Blake Lively in a gold dress, she shed some light on why Vogue cover subjects tend to repeat: "We pick girls we can go back to. It was hard to ignore Blake when she came on the scene . . . I told Tonne [Goodman, Vogue fashion director] to 'Vogue her.' We did her hair, gave her glamorous clothes . . ."
