^I actually recently saw The Town and I was pleasantly surprised by her performance.
I wouldn't call it award winning, but she held her own.

What exactly is she wearing on the GG set? Is it a dress or a wrap skirt?

While GG is her main outlet, people need to watch some of her movies (not Travelling Pants) before writing her off as a bad actress.

It's a sarong/wrap with a one piece swim suit lol. It looks a bit too "cheap" to be something Serena would wear though.

Most people here seem to find her smile beautiful and infectious.. while I quite like her and I do like that she's not going around grumbling about fame, I think she overdoes her I'm-so-happy-and-excited smile. I find it a little irritating. She does the same thing when she's playing Serena... on GG her acting is either overly happy (that little chuckle she does) and sort of acting like she's really radiant and everyone thinks it, or pouty and with this fed-up-with-everything-and-everyone-pose, head on the side, taking in little breaths before she says everything to give it gravity or something..
rant over! I do like her like I said.. this has always bothered me about her acting though, and her posing. Oh well, at least she appreciates what she has

^^ I think she's just naturally very peppy - some people are just like that. But i can see why she can annoy some ppl. If you watch her interviews on like Letterman etc. she's sickly bubbly, bouncy and giggly lol. That's just who she is. The funny thing is I usually find ppl like that really annoying (like Drew Barrymore lol) but for some reason I find Blake endearingly cute.

I agree that she is naturally happy and bubbly, I've seen her in interviews and I don't find her annoying as she has a genuinely pleasant personality.
What I mean is that I feel she plays up to it too much or something..
But I suppose what bothers me is more her interpretation of Serena than Blake herself. Her "I light up the room with my smile" way of behaving.
Maybe I'm connecting the actress with the character too much.. it's because there doesn't seem to me to be that much difference between the two. (This is really only judging by recent pictures of her and having had a bit of a GG overload recently and getting increasingly annoyed by Serena)
You're right in saying that she can't win, it's the same with all celebrities though. I'd like to stress again that I don't think she's being fake, but to me she's just a bit too much.

Just saw The Town, she could have been good...if she opened her mouth when she spoke. The scenes with her were pointless, I couldn't understand her.
