^ It's a nice ad, but I think it would've been better if it was someone else who had more sensuality and allure. Blake doesn't quite pull off the sensuality of the ad, but she looks gorge.

The video is gorgeous. The shoot, the clothes, the styling, lighting ect. Very nice Some of the slow motion blake where shes just staring at the ceiling was not the best, BUT her look was very old school glam, and she looked very beautiful

The ad looks good. I'll wait to see it on TV to fully judge but Blake looks great and the concept works even if I wished they'd gone further than the silver screen bombshell thing. As much as I love Veronica Lake, it'd be interesting to see Blake in another register.

EDIT: Nicolas Winding Refn directed the tv campaign right ?? I'm quite disappointed then, I expected so much more than just a good soundtrack.

Yes, though the person who uploaded to YouTube labeled it Mert and Marcus, I believe it was directed by Refn (with M&M doing the photography for the print ads). Refn also reportedly directed a short promo film that will debut at an event at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 1.

Gucci Première is scheduled to arrive first in the U.K. in late July, with exclusives at Harrods and Selfridges, and the worldwide launch will kick off in September with the exception of China, where the fragrance will arrive in 2013. The ad campaign will also make its debut in the U.K. before rolling out internationally. Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot the ad campaign in February at the Sheats Goldstein Residence in Los Angeles, selected for its all-encompassing view of the city. The black-and-white image shows Lively in a backless dress covered in sequins, golden hair styled for another era, gazing at the city lights as her reflection bounces off a glass windowpane. “All these ingredients rendered the idea of this cinematic, seductive attitude,” noted Giannini. Feola added the print campaign draws particular emphasis to the bottle as an “unmistakably Gucci” emblem. Film director Nicolas Winding Refn, who said he “relished” the new challenge of working for Gucci, shot the TV commercial at the same location, with additional scenes in the Mojave Desert, portraying Lively as a leading lady preparing for a big premiere. Ruini e Mariotti, longtime Gucci partners, handled art direction for the ad and commercial.

^ yh many ppl really praised her and Chloe & Ed for their performances in Hick even though the film/script itself got bad reviews.

I was begining to think I imagined seeing the commercial on tv yesterday! Cant find it on youtube anywhere - I guess they are waiting till its realeased ww.

She looked so good - her body is ridiculous! Really liked it except for one shot where it looks like theyve really airbrushed her face. And some of the slowmo walking stuff remind a bit of Gwyneths awkward walking in the Hugo Boss ads lol. but aside from that really great.

Interested to see what the short film is about.
